I just completed my first diorama in about 20 years. That said, I chose to use a 1/64 (S) scale, and this 12x8x8 worked perfectly. I did notice some reviews mentioned the box as not being transparent; FOLKS, YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE FILM ON BOTH SIDES!I was somewhat frustrated putting the box together, but that’s because I’m more of a force-it-to-work kind of person, and this box needs someone with patience (shout out to my husband for bringing the calm I needed and helping me assemble the box without incident.)Because my diorama is a gift, I decided to secure the sides to the bottom by using my hot glue gun to fill up the slots on the bottom. To do this, I made sure to secure the box by using extra foam blocks I had lying around, and then took packing tape to secure it while I glue everything together. I’m sure there are many other ways to do this, but I really do jump at every chance to use the glue gun.

I looked at many display boxes to display a Lego set and selected this mostly because of its unique size that fit the set. I considered buying a similar display box from China off another website, but I'm glad I selected this one. Simply put, it's beautiful once you assemble it. The plastic is very clean and clear. (FYI, some people posted review photos that showed the plastic looking semi-opaque. Clearly they didn't read the directions since each piece comes with a protective film on each side that needs to be peeled off before assembly. The film is what keeps the sides of the box looking crystal clear before you receive it.)It comes with a pair of gloves so you can avoid getting finger prints on the box -- a nice little bonus.My only gripe is that two of the pieces did not fit together during assembly. One of the tabs on a corner edge was too wide to fit into its corresponding notch. Rather than send the product back and exchange it, I used a metal file to file off about 1/16" of the plastic and then everything fit nice and snug!Overall, I'd recommend this.

The acrylic display, works fine if you assemble if once and display our item. But, if you need to add or remove an item from inside the display it is challenging. Which is to say when the top is removed, all four sides become loose, and want to fall apart. If you have something delicate inside, there is a chance one of the sides may fall on it, if not careful.It is an average display box, for one time use, with simple install and no instructions, since the sides have high and low tabs, which I discovered, after assembling it and one side wanted to fall off because it was upside down. Over all not a good design, in my book that is what known as poor engineering.

This is a beautiful case that does the job. I had a small book to display and it fits well and allows it to stand so you can see the cover and the artwork done with the pages. Easy to assemble. Glad I found it.

The panels are very very thin and brittle. It's easy to assemble and if you're careful enough, it serves its purpose.
