Great Book!!!
We are reading this as a group on my 4th/5th grade class for a Sports and Society Unit and the kids LOVE it! I bought one for my child and we are reading it as well! The kids love to hears the stories of the kids being kids and playing outside! They also are inspired by the fact that he had dreams and went for them at such a young age! I highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Loved learning about Ali's childhood
A great book for kids, but I loved it too. I want to buy a copy for my grand kids for their birthdays in the spring. Very inspiring to learn about Ali's childhood, and what it was like growing up during segregation. Really saw what motivated him to greatness. And the illustrations are beautiful and very cool.

This book has my students reading!
I love when I buy a book for my fourth grade classroom library and it becomes THE book that everyone wants to read. I think only one of my fourth graders knew who Muhammad Ali was before I got this book, but after doing a "book tasting" it generated some major interest. Now there is an actual waitlist for this book. If you have kids that are into sports more than reading, this is the book for them. It is a fairly easy read, it's written in verse, but a great story.

Good book for summer reading
My 11 year old read this and has the following review: “it’s a good book for summer reading. It was very interesting to have Muhammad Ali telling us stories but then his best friend would tell us them too. I think this book would be good for kids my age and in 5th grade to read this because there are cool stories in it and you can learn about boxing.”

Great book for a young sports lover!
Excellent book about Muhammad Ali’s childhood for any young reader and sports lover. The writing transitions beautifully between prose and poetry, offering an approachable introduction to poetry for junior readers. Charming illustrations balance the text and help bring the story of Cassius Clay to life. Would be a perfect book for a parent and child to read together, or as a gift for a middle schooler!

Engaging, heart-warming book
I feel so inspired by the life of Muhammad Ali as captured in this awesome book of poetry and prose. Hats off to James Patterson and Kwame Alexander for such an engaging collaboration. Middle school kids, especially boys, will resonate with this book.

Be fearless
I purchased this book for my niece. She loved it! This is a good children's book. It shows children how to get through challenges and stand up for themselves and be courageous and fearless like Muhammad Ali. He did not give up no matter how many obstacles he faced. I recommend this book to children and adults. We all struggle with life challenges.
