Acronis has long enjoyed a sterling rep for its backup capabilities. Well deserved.But they have chosen to bundle the backup software with their version of Antivirus software.I prefer other AV software, so as Acronis allows you to shutdown this full time cybersecurity protection, I did turn it off.However, even after reboot, Task Manager on my PC shows there are still 14 Acronis background processes running with a pretty generous chunk of memory usage, labeled Cyber Protect, etc.I don't care for that. I would prefer that Acronis "backup software" run only on demand and not leave this large footprint full time in my system. I haven't figured out how to do that. I suppose I'll have to check with support, only to find that I have no other choice. .
