This kit was a pretty straightforward installation. Measure before you order to get the right size. Having the wrench in the kit was handy and I didn't mind paying a little extra for it, knowing it would be the perfect size. Now I can buy Fluidmaster kits in the future and reuse the wrench I already have. I am a DIYer of medium ability and I have done roughly half a dozen various flush valve replacements before. Mine has been in use now for about two months with no issues. Actually, I take that back. It started leaking after a couple of days and I had to go back and tighten the nuts for the bolts that hold the tank to the bowl. Not a product flaw, just be aware that it may settle a bit and you should recheck it a day or two after installation. Not being super experienced, I didn't want to over tighten and crack the porcelain, so that's my fault.

This item was delivered ontime and was easy to install. The flush is quiet. After the first attempt, there was a leak, but once washers were removed, the issues were resolved, and function was restored.

Saved me a trip to the big box hardware store. Exact fit for my toilet. Easy to install, and instructions were clear.

The valve replacement was easy to install and instructions easy to follow. The replacement parts fit the American Standard toilet perfectly.

The stand pipe has an adjustable water level notches. This is a source for leakage down the drain. The fill valve should be the only way to adjust the water lavel. What happened to the solid overflow pipe?

So I had a leak and everything pointed to the flapper, turned out the whole flush assembly was to blame. After the home Depot guys scared me beyond belief the cost for a plumber to do it shocked me back to DIY'dom. My emotional support human convinced me I could do it and this kit helped fulfill the prophecy. Took all of 15 minutes, hardest part was bolting the tank back down. Apparently there are also kits that include a tool for that but this one included the tool to unscrew the flush assembly on the bottom of the tank. It fits perfect and you can't crack the tank since it only allows quarter turns. All in all, definitely recommend.

Flapper gasket is to hard

First, a warning, the gasket between the tank and the bowl that comes with the kit is thicker that the gasket that is used on the Toto Drake toilet. You will need to purchase a thinner gasket to get the tank to sit correctly. Other than that, the instructions and tool that came with the kit were very good. The installation went well and it is working well.

It comes with an illustrated manual that’s idiot-proof and all the necessary hardware (some spares too in case you drop them and lose them).

Good quality just to big for my toilet, had to return.
