I won't get into the claims of amla powder, but just whether or not this works well for various uses.The easiest way to use this is just to add water and use it for a mask. I've used it on my face and also in my hair. While it's messy, it's simple to make either of these masks. The amla powder is very fine, so it mixes with water well.As a face mask, it hardens similar to how a clay mask would. That being said, I didn't really care for it for this use. I found it scratchy to use for this.A more time-consuming and complicated way to use amla powder is to make it into a hair oil (information about this is readily available online). That's a much longer process that takes hours and using a double boiler, but I've seen an easier recipe than the one I used online, too. Anyway, this powder also works really well for making hair oil. When used in this way, oil is the base rather than water, and the oil is infused and then separated from the spent powder.My only complaint about the powder is the container it comes in. It's really challenging to open it, because there's a plastic-coated sticker on it that doesn't want to come off. I had to slice through this sticker with a knife. Hopefully they'll change the package design to be a bit more user-friendly.

This is my first time ordering this product, received 08-14-2020 BUT it expires 12-2020!! Not sure if I should send it back...UGH. AND it’s hard to open.*****UPDATE*****Taking this down to ONE STAR because you CANNOT RETURN this item although it expires within a few short months after delivery!! So be WARNED, this product will probably expire before you get your money’s worth!!!!!

I have yet to find a perfect amount and formula that works for me using this. My hair doesn't break so much anymore (because I'm doing a lot at the moment) but I have to use this powder as a pre-poo and only leave it on for 15 minutes and then deep condition, otherwise my hair gets hard and I get crown pain. So be careful if using other products with protein while using this. Thankfully I've not experienced protein overload.

Great hair product for silky hair. I used it when I lived in India and happy to find it now. A little hard to wash off if you have thick, long hait.

Spilled all inside the bag,non returnable and was expired.STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS BRAMD AND PRODUCT.Buy from another company because at least you can return and it wouldn't be spoiled by the time it gets to you. 0 stars if I could rate that.

The product was delivered May 2020, but best before date for this was December 2019. And I had to pay to return the product. Not cool!!!!

I'm giving this a 4/5 and not 5/5 because my product expired in 2019. I did see this as a common trend with other reviews and realized I got the same batch when I received my delivery. I decided to keep it because I didn't think there would be an issue with with quality of the product.I made a face mask by combining the Amla powder and some water, left it on for about 5-8 mins and my skin was so soft!I will also be adding this to my hair oil as well for a leave in treatment!

I've only used this product once so for. Very good so far.
