3M painter's tape (the blue tape) is the standard for painters tape. It sticks well, and comes off when you want to remove it. Unlike conventional masking tape, it doesn't get gooey with age - I've had rolls that are years old that still work fine.

I've always regarded 3M as a good brand. They make good products and have for many years. This masking tape could be a bit easier to get off, but it works well for masking, thats for sure.

It's the Gold Standard of blue safe tape.

As others have said, the width of this tape is different from what is advertised. The tape itself is good, exactly the same as all other ScotchBlue Original painter's tape, but the description/product photos are misleading. The pictures show 3/4" width clearly printed on the tape, but as you can see from the pictures I'm including, what you actually receive is 0.70" (18 mm) width. They should update the product image here so you know exactly what you're getting. If you're fine with 0.70" x 60 yard, go ahead and purchase, as the price is good, and the quality is what you'd expect. But if you need 3/4" or above, you'll want to find a different listing.

Not 3/4 inch. Tape is 18mm wide, approximately .70 inches. These (smaller size) measurements are even listed on the packaging. What you see in the product photo and read in the description is not what you get. Buyer beware.

We like to label all our food leftovers: date and what it is on the container and on the door of the fridge. This tape works perfectly. You can write on it with a Sharpie and it peels off the fridge and containers with no problem. And they're the perfect width and tear off very well.
