I purchased season 8 some time ago, didn't have time to watch itwhen it came. So after doing a marathon of the entire show, l sat down finally to watch the last season. The discs only had 3 episodes per disc. Half the show wasn't there! l am so disgusted. l can't get a refund now, months later, and worse, l have no closure to the series. Amazon whoever did quality control for you sucks! And now l'm afraid to even reorder the season. l see from other reviews here that l'm not the only one who had this issue.

As a fan of The series since years, i really Like Amy seasons, but its so sad this wonderfull series end so soon., So much potential end with only 8 seasons And worst with only 16 episodes vs The 22 episode Season arc. ., Alert, Spoilers!., The seasons left a few things in The air, we never see the Dark Oblivion dimension when Cade send The souls And The people trapped there, some characters from this season And others before(example: Georgie, April, Jamie And Meredith dissapears And theyre stories left un The air, inconcluded, Cade appears ocassionaly, And Both Elena And Katherine are left to The Last episode of The series, finally anyone became single at The end of The series for The exception of Elena And Damon., This last Season feel rushed for a few times, Sybil's original form never seen, Seline's a wasted character, And Kai's appearance just to make us hate him more......The episode's little episode book dont have Photos, at least we have cameos from anyone we love( Liz Forbes, Jo Laughlin, Jenna Sommers, Tyler Lockwood, Vicki Donovan, Sheila Bennett, Lucy Bennett(finally), Katherine Pierce, Elena Gilbert, Jeremy Gilbert, Lexi Branson....

Received this super fast, a lot faster than expected. Love this show, so sad it ended!

Seriously disappointed with this purchase. There are supposed to be 16 episodes and you only get about half of them with this 'Amazon's Choice' item. Not sure I understand how this can be chosen by Amazon as a preferred item when it isn't complete!! DO NOT PURCHASE THIS OR YOU WILL BE TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED!Revised - The complete season is there.

All our favourite characters are swept up in a maelstrom of intrigue, double-dealings, and devilish behaviour, as we would expect. I have to say I was disappointed that they only had 16 episodes to vanquish the supreme villain, instead of the normal 22.It keeps the same fast pace as previous seasons, and we never know which way things will turn. It was great to see some old characters reappear for a goodbye appearance, but I was saddened by some of the final outcomes. I would definitely have written things differently for Bonnie, as she deserved so much more.

This copy came all the way from Australia and I am surprised at how quick it was delivered. Well worth the price. And the cast as usual are brilliant. I will miss this brilliant series. But at the moment I cannot stop watching:-)
