Space Food Sticks are all the food you will ever need
During the early 70's I lived off of Space Food Sticks and Tang. Like most young American boys I was enamored by anything to do with Space or the United States Space program. In my lunch box every day I would find a thermos filled with Tang and a single delicious Space Food Stick.I'm much older now as I write this review, however I have determined in my mind to go on a special Astronaut diet and begin consuming nothing but Space related foods. Tang, Space Food Sticks, maybe a little bit of that Quisp flying saucer styled cereal.. But the majority of my caloric intake will be via the Tang and Space Food Sticks! Please order some today and enjoy!

Did not eat....
I bought this for my boss for Christmas. It was supposed to be a little piece of a larger gift that was somewhat nostalgic--and to earn some extra brownie points with my new superior :)She loved it. Wasn't the kind she ate growing up, though. Pillsbury made those and they no longer manufacture these. However, it was really cool to see that she enjoyed it. Not sure if she ate it though....

I loved it - but it's just too expensive!
Such a familiar taste, as I ate these all the time as a kid. But it was a one-time only novelty purchase, because the cost is simply too high for the amount of product you receive. I'm sure that the manufacturers have such limited demand that the price point has to be as high as it is, but until they figure out a way to bring the cost down, I'll not be buying again. Space Food Sticks will have to simply be a taste from the past.

Its Candy
My dad worked for the company that made these, apparently once a year for the Kennedy. He brought a whole box home and I ate them almost all week long, they were delicious and a great snack. But don't expect a MARS candy bar or extreme amounts of sugar, its supposed to emulate space food.... so it has its downsides. Its worth getting to give it a try, I recently found one sitting on my friend's shelf from 5 years ago (when my dad brought the box home), and I opened it up and ate it, was as good as the day it was first made.Bottom Line? If you want a candy that will NEVER go bad (or at least for a long time), get this =)
