works perfect to expensive
I should have done what others have said. Make your own. That being said its great quality and very good at doing the job

Works
WAAAAY overpriced for what it does, but the Hobie name is synonymous with that anyway. It works as it should, and if it keeps my mirage drive from taking up residence in the bottom of the ocean, it will have been worth the inflated price.

Wouldn't go out w/o securing my fin drive
Price is a bit much, but what isn't with the Hobie name on it!

Nice looking, durable leash. Saved my stuff many of times! A little pricey, but worth every penny. Way cheaper than replacing lost gear!

Save your money.
First off, I'm a big Hobie fan. Their products are innovative, well thought out and well made. I'm willing to pay more for the quality and the Hobie name. This is not one of those items. It is extremely overpriced and has what may be a flaw. The flaw is a quick release clip that is fairly small and made of plastic. I have had these type of clips on other products and they all seem to break at some point. Save your money and make something stronger. You can either get a thin rope or a heavy duty bungee and attach a safety snap or carabiner on each end for the leash. Then just purchase a padeye and you are all set.

Solid
I almost lost my drive using a different leash, so I bought this one. it is very good and strong, you can lift your drive by the leash. Well made , well worth it. will save your $500 drive eventually

You need this if you have a Hobie!
I bought this for my sister and I recommend this for anyone who has a Hobie. My sister lost her pedals in the river this past summer, even though she went down for them right when they fell out of the kayak they were GONE because of the flow of the river. And I'm sure they would sink and be lost in any deep water before you could get to them. This provides safety and reassurance so you don't have to worry about having them attached or even securing them in the back when they are not in use. They will not go anywhere with this lanyard attached properly.

Great for Pedal Drive
This a great product for my Hobie Fins. I did knock this product down a star because all things Hobie are price inflated although buying and installing this saves you a ton of money from having to buy new fins if you flip your Kayak. I'm sure you can purchase another similar product that meets the same needs but for a reduced price.
