Great Liner for Air Casts or Knee-high Ankle Braces
Pre-ankle surgery, I was required to wear a knee-high hard plastic ankle brace that also went into my shoe. I wanted a thin knee sock that wouldn't add more bulk to my shoe and wouldn't be sweaty. I have large calves so I was also looking for a sock that wouldn't be too tight. These socks were perfect for what I needed. These socks are true to size. I wear a size 10 women's shoe and my calves are 18 inches around. I first ordered an XL because I was nervous about how tight the calf would be in a size Large. The foot part of the XL was too big (the calf was fine), I should have stuck to the size chart. I then ordered three more pairs, but in a size L. No problem fitting my big calves and the foot fit perfect this time. On me, the socks come up about 17 inches from the floor and rest about an inch below my knee - perfect height for the brace. Now I am recovering from surgery and have to wear an air cast. My foot is still swollen. These socks stretch enough to fit over my swollen foot and work great under my knee-high air cast. It is summer so they are lightweight enough not to be too hot. I would definitely recommend these socks.

Great liner sock
I got these as liners for my wool boot socks and love them. They do double duty as a liner for my athletic socks when I'm playing tennis. I plan on using these as my standard approach to socks.

Do what they are supposed to do
These socks do just as stated. They wick away moisture when your feet sweat. I use them while hunting and haven't noticed any difference what so ever. They actually make my feet feel a little colder because they are almost a silky, nylon type material. I wear these as a base layer and then put merino wool socks over them.

they do keep the feet dry
Wore them under my hiking socks which were thick, and hiking shoes and could feel the difference right away. We hiked the AP Trail in Tennessee and the terrain was rocky and in some parts wet. A few miles in the hike my feet still felt dry and comfortable and no sign of blisters. For the price they were good and washed well; did not put them in the dryer left them air dry.

Great add for under winter running socks or in a walking boot
I bought these to wear under winter running socks, however I broke my leg so my race was off the table. I did however wear these under my walking boot. For me, these prevented my leg from sweating onto the boot and kept any friction from the boot to my leg. These are liners, so the material is thin, but that was perfect for my use. I would consider wearing them under normal boots for fall as they are socks, just not thick like boot socks, which means no bulk.
