Reverse Threaded!
Work excellently for water-based leather dye. Will probably work with others, but that's all I use them for. NOTE: They are reverse-threaded! I broke the threads on the first one figuring that out...

Very useful to quilters!
I don't use these paint pens for paint. I am a quilter and I use them to apply Mary Ellen's Best Press to quilt block seams to make them unbelievably flat! Just remove the ball bearings, fill the tank with Best Press fluid, and pump the tip until the liquid dampens it. Then when you open a seam or press it to one side, just dab or swipe the applicator tip across the sewn seam and press. Hold the iron still for 5-15 seconds until the moisture dries and presto!! you have the flattest seams you have even seen. This works well even on junctions of HST blocks. Works better even than a clapper. Truly a game changer for quilters who want very flat seams in their quilts.

A Must For Leatherwork
This tool is an absolute must for dyeing leather edges. My edges were a sloppy mess while using cotton buds, metal "dye tools", and other solutions. This wonderful tool allows for precise application of dye for a polished and professional result. Just remember 1) the fluid chamber screws on "backwards", so remember that when opening and closing it, and 2) press the pen tip against some paper towels to get the dye "loaded" onto the tip - this will take a while. Once the dye is loaded, you will be good to go. Keep pressing the tip against your paper towel or other waste material if you need more dye to be loaded.

Not Flimsy,
Much sturdier than I expected and the caps seem to seal quite well. I have had one in the shop (no climate control) for several months now. Filled with layout fluid, basically just a really thin lacquer paint, it has not shown any sighs of drying out. At a price of $2.50 a piece, at time of purchase, I'm not sure what I was expecting but these exceeded it and are certainly suitable for a tough life getting banged around in the shop. Makes applying layout fluid super easy and convenient. Way better than a dobber.

Perfect fillable marker for your art
I was more than a little impressed with the quality of the pens. Very well made, extremely heavy duty build. Will probably last for a long time. I used one of my pens to fill it up with dykem layout fluid, which is an alcohol based ink or dye to stain metals for laying out measurements and patterns. Works perfect with no leaking or evaporation at all. These are made from very thick plastic, not thin and cheap at all. I'm extremely happy with this product and would recommend this to anyone who needs a fillable marker for their art or project.
