gave 2 stars for easy to clean and use because I haven't yet used it , it's for a 92 yr old lady and i need to show her how to use.

Didn’t slice clear through. Some things can not be used, like softer veggies like cucumbers. Turned more to mush. Was hoping to use to easily slice things for spring rolls. Easier to do by hand.

This item is great. Good for making hashbrowns, thin slices, etc. I find it even fun to use. Cleaning is no problem.

Food has to fit through a small Opening to get to the blades. The base doesn’t come apart making it hard to clean.I shredded an onion with the mandolin and it did work but I doubt I ever use it again.More trouble than it’s worth.
