I had looked at this ring for a while but some of the comments had me questioning the gold-tone or finish. It's a beautiful ring and fits great. I had thought of getting a protective coating to protect the ring. I applied a light coat of a polymer based coat with a cloth, never toching the ring. I put the ring back in it's protective carry bag for about a month. I took the ring out to try it on and noticed scratches that had not been the when I got the ring. I was disappointed so I though I'll apply a product called JewelryShield that I had also purchased on Amazon. JewelryShield is a bit stronger than the polymer polish I used so I was afraid to apply it to the finish. As a last ditch effort to save the ring I applies a "very thin light coat" of JewelryShield and it filled in the scratches and gave the ring a shiny gloss like finish. It looked great after 1 application. If you decided to do this only use "one" pass over the surface of the ring. I attached 3 pics so you be the judge. I would have given this 5 stars, but I had to spend extra money to protect the ring surface.

When I first received the ring, i was pleased with the initial look and love the layered squares design.I was aware that it was gold tone but didn't expect it to turn with in a few wears(4 to be exact). I didn't expose this ring to water or any other element that would have accelerated the tarnishing of it, because i knew it was gold tone. The ring is now worthless to me regarding wearing it for any occasions. My suggestions is that this item belongs in a Cracker Jack box and that's an insult to Cracker Jacks. If you want to throw your money away for an item, then this is the one to buy.

When i first received the product, it looked great. But after having it for a week, it started fading and looked really, really, cheap.[ will not recommend buying this product.

Ring looks pretty good honestly, and so far no issues with tarnishing or loose stones. Remember it’s a ring under 20 bucks and for that it’s hard to beat

I bought this for my Vegas trip with my wife. I wasnt expecting much but this ring is amazing. I know its costume jewellery so it expecting it to last but boy, I'll be in Vegas looking like a superstar.
