Excellent noise reducer
Works as expected, reduced dramatically the level, while allowing a good rebound, and an easy tuning. Not possible with some toms suspended systems like YESS, unless cutting the rubber.

Great feel and sound. Beware of higher tuning
I had this for my snare drum and ended up returning it because it was defective. As with the other 3 star review comment the metal tensioning ring keeps popping out of its slot. I have a feeling it's because I'm using it on a snare drum and have it under higher tension. After reading that other review though i think that mine wasn't defective and it is just a design flaw.If they fix this though it is an amazing device. If you tune it to the same pitch as the snare drum you get a nice pop when doing rim shots and I was able to get a good amount of sensitivity out of mine. As for realism it is definitely the best I've experienced so far. If tuned correctly it had almost the same bounce as my regular drum head. And it's the only one I've heard out there that still let's your drum sound like a drum.
