Nice hook, but sizes are absolutely misleading
This is a nice hook for the price tag, I love it's pointy tip and it is smooth for a wooden hook. But! The size is misleading. I could not use it with the tarb I originally intended it to use with, because it is not 4.5 mm, it hardly fits into 5 mm on my rooler and it's too big for thin DK yarn.

Most comfortable to use
I love everything about this except it braking ! I am buying another and hopefully I can get more then 1 1/2 afghans done before it brakes. Being said this was my favorite to use. We will see how a second goes.

Disappointed in my 2nd Ommi hook (Ebony)
Edit 10/20/22: Apparently the thinner handle of the Ebony is intended or is a 'feature' of an entire batch. I ended up getting two more, also 5.5mm hook size, as replacements due to a hiccup in processing replacements (one from the seller, one from Amazon - the Amazon one was already too far in process to cancel when the seller initiated a separate replacement). All 3 hooks - the original and two replacements - had the same defect in the 'neck' of the hook being 'curvy' instead of straight and the exact same handle width that's considerably thinner than the Camwood and Resin hooks I'd received. When you see a photo of several of their hooks side by side, all the handles appear approx the same width, but the ebony I got was considerably thinner than 'advertised'. Being used to the larger handles, this just isn't comfortable and they'll all be returning to Amazon. I'm not deterred from trying again with a different wood, resin, or size hook from Ommi, but Ebony 5.5mm is not a combo I intend to attempt again and is a 'complete fail' in my book. The seller ignored my questions as to whether the handle size was intentionally narrow on the ebony line, whether it was a defect, whether the Camwood was the 'defective' one, and so on though, simply advising me to return the hook, so I'm left a bit adrift in terms of what is expected vs a flaw in manufacturing. I cannot believe that the apparent warping in the hook length is intended and assume/almost hope that the manufacturing factory is simply using a flawed 'original' to duplicate from. (Seriously - if you look at all 3 from several angles, the bends/curves etc appear identically 'warped' hook to hook - a little extra thick 'here', a little wobble to the left 'there', a dip down and right 'there', etc)---I understand some variation in wood hooks is normal and I'm willing to accept some deviation from hook to hook, but the Ebony wood 5.5mm (I) crochet hook I received has two significant issues.A notable deviation along the body of the hook that I'm afraid will alter my ability to crochet evenly and the ergonomic handle itself is approx 5mm narrower than the handle of the 6mm Camwood (Ommi) hook I recently purchased, making the 5.5mm Ebony hook considerably less ergonomic than the Camwood 6mm which fits my hand perfectly. In the short distance between the handle and the hook head, the wood curves visibly from almost every side/angle of the hook, it's 'minor' but noticeable even from several feet away. The curvature alone, I would try to work-around before deciding on return/exchange, sometimes wood grain is 'just that way'. Unfortunately, the handle makes the Ebony hook not ergonomic for me.I sent the seller this info with the photo of the Camwood next to the Ebony (the Ebony unfortunately is casting a shadow that bulks up the width but the vast difference is hopefully still visible) and received back a response thanking me for my order and advising that the two hooks in my order (I received today) should arrive soon and they hope I love them. Completely ignoring the photo and everything I said about the Ebony hook. I had been inquiring specifically if this narrow (maybe 9-10mm?) handle was normal in the Ebony line and if the wider Camwood handle was an anomaly or unique to the Camwood (and Resin Orange/Black) line. This was to help me decide on return for credit and order a different product vs an exchange for a correct Ebony if this is incorrect. This interaction leaves a bad taste in my mouth given the prominent 90 day returns/exchanges verbiage and the "If you have any issues with the product, please write back to us" all over the package and the only way to contact is via Amazon. So far, withholding a final judgment but still hoping to get a valid reply before I head to return/refund.

Not my best Ommi hook experience
This was my 2nd Ommi crochet hook and I got it in a 4mm. I want to get into smaller weight yarns & even tho I love my Susan Bates aluminum hooks, they are light weight and I realized I needed to feel like I had something in my hand. So I ordered this based on my great experience with the Ommi resin 6.5mm hook. I didnt like this one. I found that it kind of tugged on the yarn when I used it, even after cleaning it. The head of the crochet hook did not have the same sharpness as the 6.5mm resin hook did so the yarn kind of slipped off. It may just be this kind of hook because I have since ordered the 4mm resin hook and that one works great. So sadly I had to return this one but I am looking forward to trying more sizes by Ommi.

My favorite hook
I actually prefer this hook over my fancier but more expensive furls. It feels sturdier but still helps with the arthritis in my hands

just a bit of a mess
I really wanted to like this but its not so great. I watch a well known crochet yarn host on youtube who was just enamored with these and I see why. The price is amazing compared to that other well known hook maker but the quality is lacking in this one. Its rough and catching the yarn, I ordered a 5 but its a 5.5. In order to make this usable I am going to have to sand it down to smooth it out. I will say the shape of the shank and the weight of it is excellent but I would pass on this. I used it once and as you can see the tip is a disaster. (just a 4 weight Rhss yarn)
