For the last few months my MacBook keyboard and touchpad would stop working intermittently. Finally, when I changed the battery over the weekend, they completely quit working. My son told me it was likely an issue with this cable, so for $10 delivered I ordered it to try. Installation took about 2 minutes using the screwdriver that came with the battery (none comes with the cable, so you'll need to get one if you don't have it) and now the keyboard and trackpad work every time. All you have to do is remove the bottom cover (remember which screw goes where), pop the old cable off and snap the new one in.The cable is a little longer than the original, so I didn't use the adhesive to glue it down, but that doesn't seem to matter.

Bottom line: This $10 part and a 5-minute instructional youtube video (with the help of some torx and pentalobe screwdrivers) got my laptop's internal keyboard and mouse working like new in about 20 minutes.For a while now, my 2015 Retina MacBook Pro 13" has had intermittent issues where the keyboard and trackpad would go in and out (always both peripherals at the same time). Recently the problem got much worse, and eventually the internal peripherals of the laptop stopped working altogether. After googling the problem and my laptop model, it turned out that this was a common issue with the 2015 Retina MBP because the keyboard and trackpad were wired together with this single trackpad cable, and if the cable wore out then both peripherals would stop responding. Having done some home tech repairs before, I felt confident I could replace this cable myself, since the part was inexpensive and easy to access under the bottom panel of the laptop. It worked great, and my laptop now works like new! This cable shipped quickly and even came with the necessary adhesive strip pre-applied. Definitely recommend if you are having issues with your 2015 Retina MBP keyboard and trackpad.

10/10, my trackpad, keyboard, and Bluetooth all stopped working at the same time. I did all the troubleshooting online which worked for a small time and then would eventually the keyboard and trackpad would die again.Super easy to install and yes the ribbon is too long but it’s because the OEM ribbon is folded to fit perfectly. I had no issue just slapping the back on the MacBook Pro and screwing it on even with the extra length. I’m sure I’ll have to replace the ribbon again in the future, but for now everything is working again. So happy I could pay $10 and spend 15 minutes to practically get a brand new MacBook again. Saved me so much money.Just make sure you get the right tools to open up your MacBook and you can find a tutorial on YouTube. Super easy, you just unplug the battery (scariest part in my opinion) and remove one plate.The ribbon comes with adhesive as well so you can take it down to the battery just like the OEM.Still not sure why the ribbon made my Bluetooth work again as I thought the ribbon was only for the trackpad and keyboard... but I’m not complaining!

Bought a used 2015 MacBook Pro 13 A1502 with a bad keyboard and trackpad. Replacement cable functions perfectly, but is slightly longer than the OEM one so -- even when folding it down a bit -- it doesn't lie flat. The adhesive was so well-bonded to the plastic cover that removing the cover peeled the adhesive tape in half, so be aware that you might not be able to stick the cable to the battery as expected. That said, I was able to type this review on the MacBook's keyboard, so it's definitely working!

I have a 2015 Macbook Pro. A little over a week ago, the keyboard and trackpad stopped working. I took it to the Apple Store and the employee told me it was likely the Track Pad Ribbon and said I could get one for cheap on Amazon. So I ordered this, along with the special screwdriver you need to take the back off, and - along with one of the many YouTube tutorials out there - my keyboard and track pad worked perfectly again!! A simple 5 minute fix! Thank you!!

I received this cable to use in a trackpad replacement kit and this cable female end of this cable was too large to fit on the logic board. I tried multiple installs and it popped off every time. I would try ordering this part from another manufacturer.

Easy to Install

The moment the ribbon cable arrived at my doorstep, I was able to open my laptop, unplug the battery (a must before removing the ribbon cable), locate the broken ribbon cable (on top of the battery) and remove both the bracket and the plastic locks, that holds the old ribbon cable, and replace it with the one this one.By the time I was able to fasten the new ribbon cable and plug back my battery and fasten the back cover and turn on my laptop, I was able to see that both my touchpad and keyboard responding again.I replaced the ribbon cable due to the lack of response I was getting from my MacBook Pro 13" early 2015 (A1502 -A1582). I was able to feel the haptic feedback working on the touchpad but there was no response from the cursor. My backlight and on/off button was working, however, I wasn't able to type at all. I believe that replacing the ribbon was the cheapest solution.

Just changed this in my mac as keyboard and trackpad were not working. Its working again. Good product. Apple is gonna charge me several hundred pounds to fix this which i fixed under 10$.

Bought this product a few months ago and it's been working great! have not had any issues with my MacBook trackpad or keyboard. Very easy install and good quality cable. Definitely worth the money.

La longitud del conectar es mayor que el original. Por este motivo, es necesario doblarlo y aplanarlo un poco. Por otro lado, carece de una protección que protege los pins en uno de sus extremos. Sin embargo, lo coloqué y mi teclado, así como mi trackpack están funcionando sin ningún problema. Sí lo recomiendo.
