Awesome Documentary
I first saw the documentary We are X on prime and enjoyed it so much I purchased this. The documentary is well done and shows how hard this band worked and continues to work, not just as a band but as a family. The music is great and now I am a Hide and X Japan fan forever.

interesting documentary
i've to admit i've never heard of this band and their music until after i found this documentary on Amazon Prime. i really like the human aspects that Yoshiki shared in this documentary. i grew up listening to lots of anime themed songs which carried over to western/eastern punk rock, heavy metal, etc. from junior high school onward. can't believe i just found out about the band and their music decades later. i do feel this documentary is worth watching at least once, especially if you enjoy music, musical genres like hard rock, punk rock, heavy metal, anime, overcoming challenges, fighting and living with pains, and life and death. for one thing, it stirs a strong interest to be more familiar with X Japan's and Yoshiki's music.

Mind blown...
I saw this movie during its premiere in Los Angeles. The theater was full of fans and possibly folks like me who came out of curiosity about this Japanese band that I had never heard of and to see Yoshiki during the Q & A. I left impressed and appreciative of a band that persevered in the face of such loss and success. This is both a human story and a music story. This is not fiction but life and death and those left standing in the end. There were parts I could relate to on a personal level and parts that educated me about this band and its music. It made me want more and to know more about the band and its music. It made me realize how little I know of the World of Music.I left the movie theater, mind blown and looking forward to the release of the soundtrack and movie. I am glad to add this movie and its soundtrack to my personal library. I have also added some other songs from this band to my library.I enjoyed this movie tremendously and learned a lot.

The biggest band I'd never heard of....
This is a great documentary, very informative & well put together. We weren't familiar with this band but were impressed by the devotion the band had to each other and to their fans. It's not every band that is this unselfish. Each band member was/is an exceptional musician, incredibly talented and disciplined. Yoshiki is a genius - as a composer, a pianist, a drummer, and much more. It's admirable (and rare) that Yoshiki is too classy to speak of the incident(s) that forced him to fire Taiji from the band. The fact that Yoshiki and Toshi put their friendship above business and that their relationship weathered the 10-year hiatus during Toshi's cult years speaks volumes for the integrity of both men.Though not a fan of the metal genre specifically, I can appreciate and respect talented musicians such as these and recommend this documentary to anyone and everyone.

Documentary
It is no wonder why Yoshiki is my favorite Xjapan member, I can see alot of sadness in his eyes alot of doubt I resonate alot of this, In High School in the last day I attempted to end my life just because I am Mildly Mentally Handicapped, Bullying Kills! I am like Yoshiki Suicide is selfish you will leave other people. To me Xjapan is therapy that nobody can understand.

A great documentary.
Even tho Id heard the name XJapan, I wasnt into metal music at the time. Then I began hearing more of Yoshiki, the founding member and composer, and then that put me back to the band. This documentary gives you a better understanding of the Japanese culture as it relates to this band and what they meant to the rising music scene. They are legends even now.

I am a fan
It isn't the best documentary I've ever seen about a rock band, but it's dramatic, visually striking and compelling enough to make you curious to learn more about the enigmatic Yoshiki and his amazingly talented bandmates: Toshi, Pata, hide, Taiji, Heath and Sugizo.Since watching this film I bought the soundtrack and started searching for and collecting other X Japan CDs as well as solo works and collaborations by the band members. The depth of talent they possess and the scope of work they've produced over the years together and individually is very impressive. In my opinion the film ultimately serves it's purpose as an excellent introduction to a band that has regrettably been overlooked in the U.S. for far too long.

We Are X!
Wonderful documentary that goes in depth into the rise and fall and rebirth of X Japan. Cinematography was beautiful and they worked in some of Yoshiki's best melodies into the film. There are a few unanswered questions - though I do believe the band members deserve their privacy on those matters. My only criticism is that I wish it could have been longer. Though for fans and newcomers alike, it will still be a satisfying watch. We Are X!!

Great movie, worst quality.
This is a great movie, but this package looks like bootleg replica, there is no box set for the DVD. The pictures on the DVD case looks like photocopy.
