Follow Me Down: A Reckless Book

Reckless is a Brubaker Phillips masterpieces
Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips 5th entry in the Ethan Reckless saga is as good if not better than the 4 earlier editions. Reckless,, a sort of private eye who only takes on the jobs that really either interest him or he thinks the customer is being so jacked over he takes the case out of shear disgust in how they are being treated. Ethan and his assistant, the funky multi colored hair totally cool chick Anna take on bizarre cases spanning decades starting in the 60s up through the 80s so far with the other promise of a 6th taking place in the 90s. I love these books they tick every box in what a great noir story should be. I hope to be reading the exploits of Ethan and Anna for years to come.

Well written and is entertaining. This series is very good but is a bit brutal for some folks.

Brubaker and Phillips are the epitome of noir crime comics
The entire Reckless series is spectacular. Gritty, dark, tough. Follow Me Down is the fifth book in this series as we follow Ethan on his "case away from home" when the spotlight was on Anna in the 4th book. Brutal, tragic, yet fulfilling as Brubaker can only deliver. Sean Phillips again brings the action and emotion to life through his excellent art. I know they're taking a break after five books in two years but I already cant wait for the next. If you like modern crime noir in graphic novel form like Criminal, the Reckless series is right up your alley.

These are all excellent
Worthy of multiple reads if the price seems exorbitant. It helps to have the whole series for review and timeline comparison.

amazing as always
Deep characterization, a great plot and well told story. I love all the Reckless books and this one is a gem. Nothing like Sean Phillips’ clean lines and great graphic storytelling. Ed, Sean and Jacob are masters at what they do. Get this book and the whole series. You won’t be disappointed.

Long cold goodbye
Final story in the 5 part arc of graphic novels, and a great way to end. You get to see an older Ethen, and find some true feelings and real anger, but it's the other characters that pull you along. The art is great as always, and I can't wait to see the 1990s los angeles next time.
