Fun build
Complicated to build but great when completed. 30” inches long so you have to have the right place for display. At 74, I had never built a lego style block build. It took me longer than it would take others as I have Parkinson’s so had frequent problems and had to stop working on it. Fun project though. Only a couple of missing pieces that were easy to get from other sources.

Good instructions-no missing pieces
Great train set- my 10 year old grandson put it together-very good instructions and no missing pieces-it is now sitting on display in our living room

This is great, but not for young ones.
This is a fantastic set, the value is really worth it. It is a bit more on the difficult side to build. There are lots of liberties taken with some free floating pieces that make life frustrating. Also, the instructions are laid out confusing in a few spots. Overall, this set looks fantastic, is a great time to build, and a decent challenge for normal Lego builders. The creator of this set should be proud, and their set designers should get a raise. My main complaint is quality control, some pieces are just a hair smaller than they should be and it results in a loose fit. I used plastic glue to solve this, but I know many people frown on using glue with building blocks.TLDR: good set, difficult, and looks great!

Missing a part, but absolutely awesome!
Initial thoughts were that I was impressed. Numbered bags, little trays to put parts in, great instructions. Unfortunately, I can't even complete step 1 due to a missing part. I tried to contact support, but their site was down for maintenance. I guess I'll try again later. I'll see if I've got a spare part in my giant bin of legos. Will update review if this is resolved.Update 1: I found a substitute piece in my lego bin that I needed (was missing one of the 1x16 stud technic bricks). After that, I spent approximately 6 hours building the train. Outside of that 1 missing piece, I had everything else! It went together just like lego! One nitpick, the tubes spin and slide in the clips, which usually also happens with lego from my own experience. I'll be buying some 1/8" aluminium rods to replace them, as I've done that in the past and they're perfect. Still waiting for the site to come out of maintenance mode.

Great build, can be made to free roll easily.
This is a great build. Looks mostly accurate. Can be very easily made to free roll on the tracks and be pushed by a powered boxcar or something. The front guide wheels are completely wrong but with minor adjustments, glue and the correct wheels, it follows curves. The center bogie on the tender is a no go on corners period. Either remove the center bogie completely or do as I did and make 2 3 axle bogies. Also, there's no chance of motorizing the loco or tender without MAJOR mods and redesign. But if you remove the drive wheel gears entirely it rolls really smooth. Either push it with a motorized freight car or go double header with another motorized loco.Happy legoing

Another great set
I previously purchased the German locomotive from this company, and just bought and finished the southern pacific. Just like the other one these sets have their quirks, but definitely was a blast. Just be patient. Study the instructions. Pieces fit great

Locomotive Missing parts
The instructions are difficult to follow because the illustrations are not clear. I haven’t got to the locomotive yet and already there are missing parts which will cause me to email the company with photos, etc so I can go on with the build.

Fun to build but has some issues
I have just completed my 8th Nifeliz model so I thought it time that I shared some thing that I have learned doing them. First, these models are not LEGO quality. Neither are they LEGO price. The designs are very weak in spots so the pieces do not lock properly and will fall apart during construction. In every model that I did I needed to use super thin CA glue for those weak areas. This was especially true for the 2 floral that I did and for the three very nice dinosaur skeletons. The tank, the train and the military car all needed some glue in spots. The designs and construction sequence also created problems in a few cases with access to place a subassembly. This is mostly true with the larger models. The instruction manual is very poorly written. Each step is numbered but the flow of the steps is haphazard and can be difficult to follow. The next step might be below or to the right or to the right and below. I found that I skipped a step from time to time and had to disassemble a build and go back to construct a step that I missed. This happened not very often but a better flow of steps would be helpful. Also, the manual for the military car completely fell apart at the turn of a page and at the end was a collection of pages held together with a binder clip. I contacted the company and asked for a replacement but they never responded. One other thought. If you have never completed a LEGO technic or other LEGO complex model then do at least 1 before doing a Nefliz. Are the Nefliz models worth doing? Yes. There will be some frustrations but I did have fun building them and I like the models even with the defects. They have several military models that LEGO will never have. And the prices are reasonable. The military car model was $129.00 If it was LEGO it would be at least $275.00. I would have liked to give Nifeliz 5 stars. They are fun to build, reasonably priced and interesting. But the few defects must be accounted for so I gave them a 4. If you want to get into alternatives to LEGO then give Nifeliz a try. Start small and have some CA glue handy.
