Nice Unit
I'd say it's made for use with various kinds of synthetic siding. I'm sure it would work with other products but worked well with synthetic. It's got a big trim ring so having a perfect fit between the body of the vent and the siding is not an issue. That helps with installation. Nice product overall.

Just What I Needed
My contractor found this very easy to install. Compared to what you'll find in the big boxes stores ( lowes & HD yes I looked) these are great quality with super price. Would buy again if needed.
