Arrowhead PK1370 Vacuum Breaker Thread Inlet Nickel Plated

I gave the item 5 stars, because it is well made, heavy duty and should do a great job under the right circumstances. However, the description does not state that it is not to be used under continuous pressure, even though it came with a label clearly stating such. My spigots are both frost proof and anti-siphon, which prevents using a drip irrigation system. I’ve tried, unsuccessfully to find an alternative. Thought this was it. Back to researching.

The plumber made 2 mistakes....1. He showed me what to do....2. He showed me how to do it.

Not as pictured or described. Does not come with the "top half" with the set screw. It's a parts kit for the lower half of the device. Does not self drain meaning you'll have to take it off or risk the hose bib freezing in low temps. Might work. I would highly recommend replacing the whole hose bib with a device with built in vacuum breaker, or a standard spigot. Arrowhead is overpriced for no obvious benefit over the cheaper models, other than it fits existing installations.Edit: I was able to install this and get it mostly working by taking the top half of the old one off and attaching it to this. It still does not self drain so I'll have to remove or replace it by winter. I had to use plumbers tape to seal the threads between the top and bottom half, there's no space for a washer like the original device.

It's exactly what I needed. The old vacuum breaker leaked like crazy. I had to use a hack saw to remove the old one on my house and promptly saw a very different type of threads than I was expecting. This adapter has the short fine pitch threads which are not commonplace (possibly required). After installation, no more leaks. I call that a success.

i finally found the right part for my outdoor spikot. ive been to every hardware store in my area and none of them had anything that would work. it almost got to the point where i was going to change out the entire thing. this purchase was my last effort and it paid off!!

Does not fit my outdoor faucet. As others have mentioned, the photo is incorrect.

This "IS" the fine thread, which is hard to find. But it is NOT the right size. It is too big for the faucet. I have been looking all over for the fine thread small diameter version and have spent almost $30 and three trips to hardware stores(Home Depot, Lowes and Ace). I have given up and just bought the whole frost free fitting($35).

Just what we were looking for, not sure why our local box store couldn't provide it. But, glad I found it here!
