Such a comprehensive view of Latin American History. It's super granular and well-written. Used as a textual supplement for class. I recommend this book to everyone who wants to learn more about the "conquest" (which as you will see happened not in a couple of years, nor decades, but was instead a process that took centuries) as well as the stratification of society in the colonial period of Latin America. All in all, TERRIFIC book.
