Birds Of Prey: Hawks, Eagles, Falcons, and Vultures of North America
T**.
A comprehensive and beautifully illustrated book; a must buy!!!
This book is simply amazing! Beautifully illustrated with many color photographs of each of the species covered in both seated positions and in flight from multiple perspectives. Each bird entry includes the common and scientific name as well as the Etymology of the name, Profile, Description, Measurements, Systematic/Subspecies, Vocalizations, Distribution, Migration, Habitat, Breeding, Behavior/Hunting, Prey, and Status. Everything you could possibly want to know about each bird. I wish the author or publisher would produce a book like this for Owls! At a list price of $26.00 for a hardcover book (discounted at about $17 from Amazon) this book is a bargain and it should be in the library of every bird enthusiast!

Beautiful Book!
This book will be a Christmas present for my brother who loves birds of prey. He volunteers with the Audubon Society and Raptor Recovery- a local group that takes in wounded birds of prey and prepares them for release when they are healthy. He will love it!

Great read
Very well researched volume. Excellent narrative, by an author with a delightful sense of humor. Great Photography. Well worth one’s time to learn about and to respect these wonderful creatures.

Nice raptor guidebook
Well done. A couple of clunkers, like the assertion that peregrines don't mate for life. Written in Dunne's unique style. The close, on condors feeding over a ruined future LA, is worth the price alone.

Pete's new book is awesome! His writing is wonderful and unique
Pete's new book is awesome! His writing is wonderful and unique. I found myself flipping each page with a smile and more interest in these important predators. I am an experienced bird watcher and found this book to be very helpful in my understanding of not only the identification but the biology and habits of these predators. Birds of Prey is now an important member of my nature bookshelf! Well done, Pete!

Book is 5 star. The seller is 0.
The product is great but the seller gets 0. The new hardback book came complete with a ripped dust jacket since the shipping envelope was way oversized, allowing the book to bump around in a huge space in shipping. For a book collector, this is disappointing to put it mildly. Pete Dunne's excellent book deserves better treatment.

One of the most beautifully executed books on birds of prey containing in-depth explanations and highlights on each raptor or vulture in North America. Pete Dunne also gives us the magnificence of photographs on each bird by a multitude of photographers who in their own right should publish. Well worth the read as reference and entertainment for a birder.

I was surprised how small this book was not much bigger than A 5 but it looks interesting and has some lovely photos in so I think my nephew for whom I purchased this will be very pleased with it.
