Same issue. Tubing is damaged. Compressed in the middle and the aluminum is scuffed by whatever is causing the damage. I took a gamble. I'm tempted to try to return and get a second one in the hope that it's not damaged. It seems like a decent paddle, but if I'm going to spend $80 on it, I don't want it to be damaged out of the box.

The joining sleeve (ferrule) came unglued after being used twice. The paddles were even stored inside the house so this was not due to wear and tear or storing in a humid climate. Similar to another reviewer (Amanda), the warranty has expired and I will reach out to Johnson Outdoors for a replacement. I suggest cutting out the middle man when ordering this paddle.

Took a chance after reading reviews of paddles showing up damaged. 1st order...damaged. 2nd order....damaged. All in the same spot. Like others it looks like damage from a machine. So one side of the paddle is out of round. Who sends a product out that is obviously damaged? Doesnt help to have a free return lable if I have to repeatedly drive to UPS to return the same damaged product. Product is 5 stars if I ever get one thats not damaged. 2 stars is fornthe seller that has no quality control aperently. Waiting for a response from seller.......

The paddle is great. It cuts through the water with little force. Very light weight. I would have give. 5 stars but my paddle arrived damaged. The packaging for shopping was not the greatest and it arrived with one end of the paddle being bent. There are two spots where it has been flattened instead of being rounded. It was more a packing/shopping problem than an actual product problem. I would buy again if it were shipped differently.

I have reorder this paddle twice. I love this brand but the shipper keeps screwing up the size I orders a 240 and they keep sending me a 220. This is B's. And Backcountry is supposed to be a good retailer. Umm no
