I’ve used these outlet cover lights for years. They are remarkably reliable, provide enough light to see my gray American tiger cat on our dark rug at night.They also provide enough night light without being annoyingly bright. They work really well once you get them installed.Even on newer construction, these outlet lights can be challenging to install despite manufacturers claims otherwise because you never know what issues are going to arise.I decided to add 2 new lighted covers and I wanted black covers. I swapped out the white outlets with new black Lutron Claro outlets - allegedly the best outlets on the market. See the photos.The problem was that the new Lutron Claro outlets now have “wings” on the sides that I believe protect the screw connectors behind them. But the “wings”push the lighted outlet cover connectors too far out to connect to the outlet and they won’t light up. See the photos.I had to “notch” the new Lutron outlet “wings” using a small saw to make initial cuts and then a razor knife to score the part I wanted to remove. I used a pair of pliers to wiggle a section of the “wings” loose. Once again, see the photos.After that, everything worked properly. I pre-notched the second Lutron receptacle and installing that was simple because I had resolved the issue.Moral of the story is sometimes these covers install in. 2 minutes and sometimes it’s 30 minutes or more,even with decades of DIY experience.These lights are excellent for usability and longevity but be prepared for anything installation wise when they arrive. I have purchased ten of these in the last year and a half and they're amazing. I love that they cost very little to have on and they can light an area up nicely enough for me not to have to turn on light switches when Im waking up in the middle of the night for more water or whatever it may be. I have also ordered the wrong unit on accident and they made my exchange very simple. These are the best lit power outlet covers period.

Extremely easy to install, provides plenty of illumination, and it looks a lot better than those old night lights did!

We moved into a new home. Let me tell you getting used to placement of everything is an adjustment and it’s pitch black at night. Perfect for sleeping, but if you have to get up in the middle of the night you can’t see a thing. We had turned on the hood light of the stove and it’s too bright. Bought these lovely lights and they are perfect on each end of the island to give light if you need a drink of water. Also placed one in the hallway for the kiddos or guest who might have to navigate getting to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The are perfect.

About as easy to install as opening a door. These lighted plugs have made a huge difference in our halls at night. My thoughts are that once the electrical competitors come about with their versions, that the price will be affordable to have more of these in our homes. The price is fairly high for what is involved in the design.

I have ordered lots of these. For my house and have given them as gifts, because people like them when they come over. But I remember my first order, I paid around $8 a piece (2019), now these frickin things are $20 each.

Love these! Have had them in our home for over 2 years and they are great. We have even given them to others as a house warming gift and to an elderly parent who needs the light at night. Simple to install, works like a charm but wish they were a bit cheaper.

expensive? yes. but they're amazing. takes a few seconds to snap it on. it's nice having a nightlight that doesn't take up an outlet. the auto off is nice too. we have these all over the house to prevent tripping over things when trying to get to a light switch in the middle of the night.

Wasn’t able to install. Screws for installation in middle and not top and bottom of plate. Specs not clear to me on website. Lots of tech talk. Would require a professional to look at specs to make sure you purchase the correct item. Have seen this product in a home and I was quite impressed but he had electrician install it. Will have to return the item. :(. Good value for money if you could install it the proper wall socket! And the installation would be easy as well.
