Is it possible for a mug to be elegant? I guess it is.
These are really very nice. They are glass but the glass is amazingly thin, which makes them very light. When you first pick them up, you think they must be made of plastic because they are so light for their size. I don't think you could make these using regular glass, the design basically requires the special, expensive glass they use to make test tubes and so on. Regular glass would shatter from the thermal shock of coffee if it were that thin. It is a quality product, with no visible seams. There is just a little dimple in the base from where they sealed up the double wall. When you first get these, your immediate impression is that they are unusually delicate and probably fragile. So I held off on doing this review for a little while to make sure they would stand up to regular daily use, frequent runs through the dishwasher and so forth. They do seem to be holding up fine so far - the glass is apparently a good bit stronger than it looks. One thing I have not done is put these into the microwave. I am just not sure whether the double wall is vacuum sealed or whether there is anything in there that could heat and expand, putting pressure on the thin walls of the glass. I'd be a little wary of that, but they are definitely dishwasher safe in my experience.I would not say that these mugs are somehow wildly efficient at keeping your coffee warm, they are wide open at the top, after all. But they perform no worse than other glass mugs, as far as I can tell. What they are is just very elegant and attractive. They are a little expensive, but you are getting a quality product for your money here.

Insulated cup for drinks and food
Borosilicate is the same material as test tubes and beakers. It is highly durable and can withstand boiling over open flames. Pyrex used to make their containers from borosilicate, but went to tempered glass to save money. I was happy to find that companies are making storage ware and drinkware in borosilicate again. The Bins and Things 16 oz cups are more than a large, comfortable, insulated mug. I use them for coffee, tea, and soup. The handles are never too hot to hold, even after a minute in the microwave. These cups will double as a microwave cookware. I cooked scrambled eggs in 90 seconds with the following recipe:Ingredients- 4 eggs, 1 tablespoon of butter, sliced into 3 pieces. Substitute with milk, oil, or water if needed. Salt and pepper to taste.Directions- Oil up the interior of the cup, put in the eggs, beat with a wooden spoon. Stir in seasoning and butter. Microwave for 45 seconds, remove and stir. Then microwave in 15 second increments while removing and stirring until it reaches the desired consistency. You can also microwave canned soup, oatmeal, leftovers, etc. in these. The glass surface washes clean with a scrubbing sponge. Highly recommended. The lower priced competition on Amazon will not survive in the dishwasher.

Super sized coffee mug!
The media could not be loaded. ย I hate refilling a small coffee mug. That's exactly why I ordered this mug set for me and my wife. It holds two glasses, 16 ounces of coffee at once. But it also has a double sided wall which keeps our coffee warmer a lot longer than a standard mug would. This is because the liquid is not exposed to the side temperature similar to how a dual paned window works. So your coffee doesn't get cold near as fast. Especially since you can get more coffee in this mug than a standard mug. They are very durable and I have hit them up against each other and they are fine. We are going to buy my wife's parent's a set of these for Christmas. Super innovative dual pane technology and supersized mug for coffee addicts like us. I definitely recommend these mugs!UPDATE: 10/23/17 I have had these mugs for about a month now and they have been great one broke when taking it out of the dishwasher after just barely tapping it on the counter. These are not very sturdy. I could not believe a piece cracked off so easily. Oh well, we still have one and will be extra careful with it.

I like these insulated mugs much more than the ceramic variety.
For years my favorite insulated coffee cups have been ceramic, but they tend to be easy to break so they do not last very long. (If you are more careful than me, this may not be a problem.) This time I decided to try something else. Borosilicate glass has a reputation of being somewhat more durable than regular glass so I ordered these mugs.Could not be more pleased! They keep my coffee warm longer and so far seem shatter resistant. Please note that the seller does not claim that they are shatter proof. The seller also does not recommend them as microwave safe, but I cannot imagine why. I filled one half full of water and placed it in the microwave for 30 seconds. The result was hot water and cool glass. I have been microwaving these cups daily for several weeks. So far no problems.I recommend this product.

Not sure they are truly made of glass - but work fine for a coffee mug.
The Description calls them Double-Walled "Glass" mugs, These are not glass.. These are plastic - they sound plastic, they make noise like plastic, and feel like plastic (not as heavy as glass would be)...If it is glass, it is a type of glass that I've personally never seen - or it is a form of "plexiglass" which I put into the plastics category more so then glass. That being said, they work fine... Just - if you like the heavy feel of a glass/ceramic mug - these don't feel that way...

Mugs come as advertised and have a nice look to them. 16 Oz mugs are really quite large.
I love the practicality of these mugs. I wanted mug I cold use for flowering tea and these are perfect for that. That said, they are almost two big to use for any other beverage. Perhaps when I have them longer I will get more comfortable with their use.

Looks good...
The are big, really cool looking. But it is really light , feels like it can break easy. I donโt dare putt in the microwave.

Doesn't keep coffee hotter, but it does look good at least
These mugs don't keep your coffee or tea warmer than a usual ceramic mug. Most of the heat loss is via the top of the cup anyways, so improved insulation along the sides and bottom has little to no effect. 3 stars because the mugs are still aesthetically pleasing.
