I gave this to my father-in-law as a "just because" gift. He couldn't stop flipping the switch and smiling. The tiger comes with about 4 different reactions and they appear randomly. Very comical as you don't always know how the tiger will react to your transgression.Best position is to place it a bit below eye level or higher. If it's too low you can see into the box when it opens and see all the gears and stuff. If it's higher it's better. It does come with a USB cord but you have to have the plug in adapter to use it. The unit doesn't work with batteries, you have to plug it in and the cord is a bit short.He loves it and seeing him smile at it was definitely worth it.

There are a bunch of useless boxes out there. The thing I like about this one is that there seems to be at least four or five different reactions this one has to somebody pressing the "Do Not Touch" button. The tiger in the box has fun little antics that veer from passive-aggressive to "I'm watching you." I laugh every time. I think it makes for a neat stocking stuffer or birthday gift, but I used it as a "I'm thinking of you" gift for my teenage son. A "just because" gift, and there aren't enough of those.
