Ruthless Heir: A Dark Mafia Romance (Ruthless Dynasty Book 1)

I was so excited the whole time.

Okay, let's get the technical stuff out of the way first. Missing words, a "to" or "my" missing here, a "with" or "of" missing there a "want" missing somewhere else; Story inaccuracies, e.g., the author writes "...plays with herself the way Gabriel did..." except that Gabriel hasn't yet 'played with her' in that way up to this point in the story. And yet, this is not what bothered me in this story. In fact, this story is so intense that you're willing to overlook these errors.There is so much angst in this story. So much has been kept from the H, secrets his allies refuse to tell him, but the more he discovers on his own, the more he begins to wonder if what he's been told is true or not. Like the H, you begin to wonder who are the real enemies and who are the ones he should trust. The not knowing as well as the situations they both get into leaves you on pins and needles throughout most of this book.While the H navigates these treacherous waters, he also has to keep his girl, the one who's central to it all, safe and teach her how to live and be strong in this dangerous world. And make no mistake, this is a dangerous and violent world; it's brutal and bloody. The sex is no different, it is rough, often violent and intense (but always consensual). While there are times they do "make love", there are other times that were a bit extreme for me; like when he uses the barrel of a loaded gun (he had his reason and it accomplished his goal), but that scene made me uncomfortable. I'm not typically squeamish about kinky sex acts. I think it was just the fact that the gun was loaded that bothered me. (I kept wanting to yell, " What if you accidentally hit the trigger and the gun goes off!" Guess it's the Mother in me! LOL!)I don't typically have an issue with angst in a story as long as its from outside sources and not constantly because of issues between the H and h. But I'll be honest here, while the angst in this story IS from outside sources and situations, it is over the top and kept me on pins and needles! When I was mid way through this, I was all set to give it just 3 stars and even considered not finishing it, because I didn't think I could handle any more. Yet I couldn't stop turning pages to see what happened next or how they got out of a situation not to mention finding out of the real villains were. By the end, I realized that it was only the anxiety and angst talking, because these two characters do go through a lot!Ultimately, for keeping me guessing, keeping me on edge and making me turn page after page, I have to give it 4.5 stars. (1/2 deduction for lack of proper editing.) If you love angsty stories, page turners, steamy sex, interesting characters, mystery and lots of action and don't mind some brutality, this story is for you!

This book was really well written and had a good storyline. It was a bit on the dark side for me, I enjoyed it but wouldn't have picked it up if it weren't recommended by a friend.If dark romance is your jam, then this is a great book for that! It isn't mine but I liked it decent enough to finish. It has good spice in it too!

Sasha Leone will take you deep into the Dark, twisted, and depraved world of the Mafia. The main character is Gabriel Reca, a 25 year old young man who was groomed from a young age to live in the cruel world of the Mafia by his adopted father. His obsession is Bianca Byrne, 21 year old Mafia princess who had led a sheltered life, yet far from innocence. Gabriel and Bianca have a love/hate relationship which developed when they were in Westwood High School. Even though they have been out of school for years, the animosity remains and slowly sizzles. Gabriel is motivated by his revenge plan for Ray Byrne for killing of his mother when Gabriel was in his youth. Bianca will be part of the plan as he plans to mold her into his slave. However, as Gabriel infiltrates Ray Byrnes Mafia and becomes a guard to Bianca, he is taken in by her beauty and charms, just as Bianca melts looking at the attractive man Gabriel that has become. Gabriel’s plan shifts slightly, and he intends on making Bianca his Mafia Queen. The “dance” between Gabriel and Bianco is cruel and frequently depraved, as he teachers Bianca that the emotions of killing and pleasure are deeply intertwined is his psyche and it should be that way in hers as well. Will Gabriel and Bianca survive their intensity and create their planned life, or will they burn themselves out without ever creating their future? Add in plot twists, disloyal family, lies, and traitorous friends into the mix and readers have a fascinating and demented story-line that will keep the reader engrossed with interest.

Really nothing special about this. Characters were annoying. Honestly didn’t care for any of them, the weird attempt at kink to love story with violent leanings. Female main character was pathetic and the male was could be any alpha male there was nothing unique or interesting about either.Can almost see how this series will arc. Three part mafia ruling families spanning the nation. Next book will feature secondary characters from this books mc interactions, specifically the female friend/enemy. Third book will focus on the male friend/enemy with each falling for the leader or next in line of ruling mafia families and end up leading a branch. Then they will unite to defeat their common enemy who was introduced as a father figure in this book whom they turned against when they realized he was power hungry and didn’t care about them.I mean I could be wrong. I don’t feel like I am. I will never know because I literally do not care about any character enough or the incredibly weak plot/storyline to read any more.

Enemies to lovers, found family. This dark mafia romance is a good read with a good balance of spice and plot. The FMC grows into a strong character with the help of the mmc. Good read.

This one was different! Lots of gore and some not so common, very out there scenarios. I think it’s great if you’re into that. If you’re not then it can be uncomfortable, in a sense. Beware

This book is literally amazing. I'm not a huge reader, but a can't put this book down. It is so incaptivating with a little suspense. And her detail is amazing. I am definitely getting more books!

Even tho many didn’t like the book, maybe bc of the intense smut and all, but I really enjoyed the book and the story! It was Definitely worth buying and reading it!

It is a mafia-style spicy romance. The spice is pretty good, if a little painful to read in sections. The mafia story has more holes than Swiss cheese but still enjoyable. The author needs to invest in editing though...spelling mistakes aplenty and it felt like the author forgot where the characters were standing/sitting/laying when the next parts happened. There is one scene where I could not figure out how the FMC could perform the mouth-work and still rub her lower anatomy on the MMC's rear end. The ending is a cliff-hanger but so damn mild I can't be bothered with the next in the series.
