This was the start of it all for me!
I was am a novice gardener and before I got this product, could not keep a THING alive for any significant period of time. Out of desperation, I decided to try a mini greenhouse and suddenly, success after gardening success. With some commonsense, direction following (in regards to using the cover and such) and a little bit of diligence, I have discovered a new world.I am very thankful for this product.I have found a hobby that makes me feel productive and calm. The winter sucked all of that away from me until I discovered that THIS product was structurally sound enough to turn into a tiny INDOOR GREENHOUSE! Some "inexpensive" lighting and very affordable and user friendly pulley set-up and I am Back in Business. I have can have fresh herbs and even vegetables all year round without hoping for something decent shows up at the super market! The one that I had gotten was in great condition and even after spending every day outside since I got it (over a year?) it is still rust free. Not even a hint of any problems even after lots of severe neglect (I did not treat it, cover it or even stake it down so that it would not get knocked over several times by storms). I would not hesitate to buy another one of these when/if I decide to grow my indoor garden.

A little light but still worth the money.
First off I agree with other reviewers, if you are putting this outside be prepared for it to tip over in a strong wind. I had read those reviews but thought this would be great for an unheated sunroom in our house. We live in northern Wisconsin and can't wait to start growing plants but the last freeze often happens in May. The sunroom while helping being unheated often gets a little dicey. So what we did was set this up in our sunroom so we have a greenhouse a greenhouse kind of. I put a couple digital thermometers with memory out, one in the sunroom and one in the greenhouse and tested for a couple days. The greenhouse when closed kept the temperature about 8-10 degrees warmer than the sunroom temp, given an outside low temp of 28, the sunroom was down to the low 30's the greenhouse low was 38 one night and 40 another.Hope this idea helps some of you.

Worth the money
What can i say? I wasn't blown away by the quality but i wasn't disappointed either. i bought it to start some seeds in the spring. i have put it together which took a maybe 15 minutes with two people. Would be a little difficult to assemble on your own. I currently have it set up with some 3 gallon planters and indoor plants near a sliding glass door for light. it is very stable with two 3 gal and 1 gal on the top shelf. the cover has a zipper on each side and rolls up for access or warm days. the cover material seems durable but the zippers are the typical low grade plastic that i wouldn't expect to last very long. Except for windy conditions i would probably leave it unzipped anyway. Plastic caps on the feet so it won't mar your floor for inside use. overall a good buy.

A good buy.
I bought two of these units after reading reviews of several other portable greenhouses. I put the units together myself in about 20 minutes for each. The stand itself is well made, shelves are attached. Though the plastic cover seems to be of fairly good quality I don't expect them to last very long. The first day I put up the stand it fell down with just a little wind, even with the little anchors provided. It's now on my patio against the wall and weighted down on the bottom shelf. Expect to not have use of the bottom shelf. It would help if these units were more wide than they are tall to add stability so as not be so top heavy. Overall, a good buy for the price.

Excellent way to start your garden plants!
I used this greenhouse to start our garden plants this past spring. It worked really well. I used velcro strips on the shelves to attach grow lights. We didn't use the heat/seed mats, so when I felt it was getting a bit chilly inside, I'd place a pan of boiling water on the lowest rack, and zipped up the cover. It seemed to provide enough heat and moisture to keep the plants growing. The plastic did rip away from the zipper in one section. I think it's just a design flaw, and most likely not the best quality. However, this greenhouse did everything that I wanted, and the price seemed reasonable. (The only problem was starting seeds inside too soon :-D It's nice to see things growing when it's still cold, wet and grey outside!!)

Much higher quality than those at the hardware store
I bought this for my brother who starts vegetables indoors since we have bad Midwest winters. After going to Lowe's and Home Depot and looking at similar products I was not happy with how poorly they were made and how easily they tipped. I bought this one because it seemed to be more sturdy and less likely to tip than the others. My brother put this together and quickly filled it with pots and trays easily. It does not tip and he even has a very heavy grow lamp hanging from the top wire and it has not bent so it is better quality than the cheap ones at the hardware stores. The inside will condensate badly so you will need to put plastic on the floor if you use this inside because it will run down the plastic cover. I suppose a fan would help this, however my brother does not have a temperature control system for this greenhouse stand.

I wanted a mini greenhouse that was sturdy and would not fall apart
I wanted a mini greenhouse that was sturdy and would not fall apart. This is it. No plastic connectors - everything is welded and metal. Very sturdy and stable. Easy to put together. The only thing you need to be aware of is because this is the larger model (I have both sizes) the shelving area is larger and thus less rigid meaning that it cannot take as heavy of pots as the smaller version; the shelving bowed enough to make me fairly nervous. What I am looking for now, September 2015, is a smaller version of this, more of the size of the four tier versions that are all about 27" W x 63" H x 19" D. I have literally searched for hours and cannot find a welded mini greenhouse. Any ideas?
