Wago connectors are the way to go for home wiring projects! I recently learned of Wago connectors on YouTube. They're easier than the old approach of twisting wires together with linesman's pliers then twisting on a wire nut. They're especially good for DIY projects, since they make it super easy to undo and redo connections if necessary without damaging the wires. The 3- and 5-slot connectors are especially handy for those cases where you have to connect several wires. The only thing I didn't like about this particular set was that they mixed different types of connectors to fit them into the box -- so, for example, you have to dig through the big 5-wire connectors to get to the smaller ones underneath. Doesn't seem like a big deal, unless you're standing on a ladder and holding up a ceiling fan when you realize you need a different size connector. I'd prefer a box where each compartment holds only one size connector, reading from left to right. Small thing, but since the Wago connectors are all the same, this little detail of packaging matters. This package does have a good assortment of sizes, which is convenient.

I specifically purchased these for under cabinet lighting that I installed. These work great on 18AWG solid and stranded wire. Many traditionalists in the US would tend to favor wire nuts (I am among them) but for this application I am completely comfortable with them.

I really like using these connectors specifically for low voltage in HVAC applications. Wire nuts on small guage wire can be the source of many frustrations when troubleshooting. These are rated for much more, but this is how I use them the most.

I wish I had found these years ago. I have 12 ga wire which is thick stuff. These take up a lot less room in a junction box than wire nuts of the correct size for 12 ga wire. I suggest avoiding the copycats. I got some copycats with a light fixture and they didn't hold nearly as well as these. These are great. Make sure you get WAGO brand. These guys simply buy them in huge quantities from WAGO (the manufacturer) and make up these little multi packs with the different sizes. Very very satisfied.

Very easy to use and has a guide for wire stripping length on the device. I used this to replace a wire nut that had 4 wires in it. One light on that circuit always burns out months before the others. I am hoping that this creates a better connection and solves that problem. Although the Wago connecter is wider than a wire nut it is also very flat and easily fits in the box and since the wires aren't all wound up it all slides into the box easily. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the connection doesn't feel really secure. I won't know if it corrected my problem for about a year.

These connectors are super easy to install and remove. Due to the linear design and arrangement , an unexpected benefit is the ease of folding the connected wires and putting them in an outlet box in comparison to using wire nuts. They are a little pricey but wow, they sure make wiring easy!
