This is a really sturdy bag, but I was worried it would be nearly impossible to sew a patch onto it because of the interior lining. It turns out that you can unzip a "secret" zipper to access the interior of the outer shell. This should make it possible to sew on a patch. Also a good place for spies to hide secret papers.Otherwise, the bag is very well padded; and I feel my laptop is really safe. Easy to put on and take off, yet very stable. Well-considered pockets/compartments for this and that. Just great.

This bag is thoughtfully designed, comfortable and even elegant. The interior is well considered and useful. It seems to me that this bag fills a need for streamlined and thinner sling bags as opposed to the usual bulky camera cases that seem to dominate the market…After a year of use I can only further recommend this bag. Over the course of the year I did try an Aer sling and a Cotopaxi sling. I have to say that in terms of ease of use the Nomatic is the best. Especially valuable compared to the other two slings were the extra handles and the distribution of space evenly.

The bag itself feels very light and airy. Even when I put my laptop in it, it almost feels like I didn’t put it in there. The quality of the bag is amazing.. My only gripes are the way it opens only from a side profile so you have to turn the bag to the side to open it or things will fall out. Also the shoulder strap is WAY TOO HEAVY For the light quality of the bag itself, the shoulder strap feels like I am a US postal worker it’s TOO heavy of a shoulder strap. doesn’t allow for left or right shoulder adjustment. You can only carry it on your left shoulder and I actually like carrying my sling bags on my right shoulder.

I love NOMATIC. Everything I have purchased from them has been so well thought out. This sling is almost perfect. The size is great. The compartments are great. The look is great. The only thing that kept me from giving a perfect score was that the clasp tended to dig into my chest. It is not painful, just a little annoying. I will continue to use is as I try to think of something to put on it to make it work better for me.

I dropped the bag (from 2ft) and my laptop got a dent because the laptop compartment is right below the zipper which doesn't provide ANY protection. The zipper area got torn and the laptop (MacBook Pro) was damaged.Also the bag is not the most convenient to carry but that now became the smaller problem.Update 1/19 - the seller contacted me and offered to send me a replacement at no cost. Also, since I’m now out of the country I was told there’s no need to ship the damaged item. Happy to see the company is standing behind its products.

I’ve been a fan of Nomatic for about 5 yrs now. I’ve purchased several different bags, most recently the 10L sling bag.I frequently run my office on the go and I was able to fit my 12” MacBook, hotspot, wireless charging brick (Anker), an iPad mini, a JBL Clip 4 speaker, the laptop charger, an extension cord (Anker Cube), 2 phone chargers, and an extra t-shirt, all inside this bag. It was heavy, but the ability to adjust the strap made it easy to equalize the weight. No damage was done to the bag after carrying a heavy load.This bag has come in handy on all sorts of trips, and qualifies as a personal belonging, not a carry-on, in most situations I’ve encountered.Lots of storage pockets inside, as is one of the best features of any Nomatic product, plus the hidden water bottle pocket, which easily held a medium size Essentia water bottle (1L).If you’re looking for a great and durable bag for daily use, day trips, or as an accompaniment to other luggage, don’t hesitate. Just buy it.I will be a loyal Nomatic customer as long as their products exist.

I REALLY wanted to like this bag. It fit everything perfectly, looked great, and was the bag size I was looking for.However there is one major flaw in its designed as a sling/crossbody bag, and that's that lack of accessibility.The strap can only go from your left shoulder to your right hip, so if you put on your backpack on with a strap from your right shoulder to left hip, you are unable to use this bag whatsoever. I tried for months and was really disappointed with how difficult I found it was to take the bag on and off, to the point where I found not joy in using it. I ended up giving it to a family member who was able to use it and hope next time they introduce a new version of this bag they implement a more universal design for the strap
