Is an image class drum just a larger capacity cartridge, or is it a separate part needed in addition to the basic 051 cartridge?

Hi Claus. The Drum is a separate part, used in the printing process. Drums usually wear out slower than toner runs out, and so we've designed some models where the two are replaced separately, to minimize waste.

Does this work with pc170 personal copier

This toner cartridge will not work with a PC170. The PC170 will use our E20 toner cartridge.
