I had to buy these because I could NOT find tongs in my area that were BPA free. The one pair I tried to buy from a traditional store had a hinge that immediately broke. These are very well made, they have a great hinge and the tips touch evenly. The 2 sizes are great for using in a wok or a small fry pan with mushrooms and onions. Very pleased with this pair of tongs!

I love these. My old tongs worked well but got so hot that often I burned my hand when I used them and controlling them with a pot holder was iffy at best. The silicone keeps the handles cool and the claw part holds onto food better. Very pretty. Seem well made. Unlike my all metal pair which use a metal slide to keep them closed, these use a loop at the end to pull up to close them.

These tongs were very good for the first five months of use. They securely held meat or whatever we were lifting. The locking mechanism worked fine and they cleaned easily. The silicone grips allowed for gentler use when needed, like turning pastries in the oven and there was no worries that they might melt.However after 5 months of typical use, the pin that holds the entire mechanism together came out on both of the tongs! Without that pin nothing works: it holds the two arms together, holds the spring in place and holds the locking mechanism in place. So bottom line.....the tongs are no longer usable. We did get good use out of them for the time they held together, but they should have been more durable and lasted longer.

These receive almost daily use. I would have given 5 stars, but they bend when using on heavier items, like a roast or a chicken. But they are very useful for the smaller items.

The tongs work very well, I love the red color. The best part is the locking tab is made of metal and will not bend. I have other tongs at the same price point that have a plastic locking tab and it has warped so the tab no longer stays in position to lock them closed. I don't think that will happen with these that have the metal tab, it looks like it is thick enough to not bend.

I have had a pair of these tongs for a year now and they are my go to utensil for a lot of my cooking. I absolutely love them and they are so easy to clean. For Christmas this year I did not hesitate to pick up a pair for my dad as well. Love these tongs, you won't be disappointed!

Finally something strong enough to pick up heavy food, and soft enough not to tear up delicate food. Truly, if you have not experienced silicone in your kitchen, you need to. It truly does not melt. Pull on the red tab at the hinge, and these tongs fit snugly together for storage. I finally got to throw away my old, non-functioning tongs!

Me and every profession chef I know and see on TV mostly use tongs, with good reason. They are the best all-around tool for stovetop use. The silicone tips allow you to use in regular pans and non-stick pans without scratching them. Sturdy and the retractable hanger works very well.
