but they really pleaded and they said they’d make sure I got the best of the best
The SOLO rocks! I have to be candid, at first I was totally not into the idea of getting a ‘Personal Sound Amplifier,’ but my son and daughter URGED me to do something about the fact that I could not hear 75% of what they were saying over kitchen clamor at a recent family gathering. I really only struggle in these sorts of scenarios, so I was hesitant, but they really pleaded and they said they’d make sure I got the best of the best. WELL, I researched myself, and found elsewhere on the web that Audicus has a pretty solid reputation, so I decided to give their amplifier a try after I found it on Amazon. It is wonderful and seems to be just as advanced as any digital hearing helper on the market.The packaging was nice and everything was presented in a straightforward way. The battery was easy to put into the device, and it was pretty easy to get the hearing amplifier over and into my ear. The only difficulty I faced was with putting the round plastic dome in my ear at first. I shoved it in my ear right out of the package and the device seemed to be processing the air around the dome and in my ear and produced a sort of hissing noise. After a quick read of the manual they provided, though, I realized all I had to do was change the dome to a bigger one (they provide different sizes of these domes in the package), and then my ear canal was “sealed” as they say in their documentation. My daughter is getting married in September, so I used it at two parties last week with a large number of guests, and I was able to have conversations, without having asked anyone to repeat a single thing. A welcome change, if you ask me. Through using it a few times, I also got more comfortable with the volume/program changes. You can press the button to get into volume programs that are louder, softer, and/or specialized for use with speech. I like that you can control it a little bit, because sometimes I found myself needing it a little louder. I AM NOW A BELIEVER AND HIGHLY WOULD RECOMMEND!!!

Great product, love my Solo Amplifier!!
I have had this hearing amplifier (right ear) for about two weeks and have worn it almost every day as I was at a conference all of last week. This gave me a really good opportunity to test it out in a large banquet hall where I was standing at an expo booth all day for four days. The Solo was absolutely awesome and so helpful in letting me hear what people who came to visit the booth were saying (last year, in comparison, I spent most of the conference saying “What?” to booth attendees and my booth-mate).I don’t have an official hearing loss, according to my ENT doc, so I am not in the market for hearing aids, but I have toyed with devices like this for the past couple of years as I sometimes struggle at large group dinners or in expo halls (my job requires me to attend several trade shows per year). The sound that the Solo relayed was crystal clear and not at all fuzzy or over-processed like some other, cheaper devices I have tried out over the years (granted, the other devices I tried were under $100-- you get what you pay for, and I am confident that this is worth every penny, to be frank).It also helps that this hearing device is super small and sits mostly behind my ear (only a small part is IN my ear), so most people cannot see it if looking at me head-on (not that I really care- I am excited to be able to function normally in social settings!). Overall, would highly recommend if you have trouble hearing people speak in noisy or crowded places. It has done wonders for me in just two weeks!

amazing product!!! i can hear again!
I've been wearing my hearing amplifier a few days a week for almost a month now-- and I love it! For about a year, I have felt like I can't hear as well as I feel like I should. I went to a hearing clinician to get my hearing evaluated, but she says that I don't have enough hearing loss for a hearing aid. With my amplifier, I can select how much "extra volume" I want. Using the Solo makes me feel like things are back to normal! I can hear things more clearly, find myself saying "what?" significantly less, and feel like I can really follow conversations now without any confusion or asking people to repeat themselves.What's exciting about this amplifier is that it is small enough to fit in my ear without anyone noticing, so I can wear my hair either down OR up, without anyone noticing the hearing amplifier in my ear! Also, the volume controls are easy to use! It was easy to get started with the product because it seemed like any information I needed was simply explained in the manual. They even tell you how to clean it and troubleshoot for any problems (although I can't say I have had any issues).Most importantly, I can hear again!!!! This product was definitely worth the $399!!! I'm so happy I stumbled upon Audicus's Amazon page!
