The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks: Prima Official Game Guide

Great addition to the video game

Whatever type or platform of game you buy, if you buy a guide get a Prima. I usually play dungeon crawler/action games like the Zelda games and the Rune Factory games, or sims like Harvest Moon or The Sims. I've tried a couple different types of game guides: from game producers, from fansites, and from after-market producers like Prima. Prima guides are by far the best of all. They are put together very well, have the best graphics, and they make it easy to locate the information you need. You can find just that information with a mimimum of spoilers, or you can follow a very complete walkthrough. I like to play through an entire section or dungeon, then check to see if I missed anything I really need before moving on. Prima guides, including this one, make this easy because they usually have boxes at the beginning of each segment telling you what items you should have when you start the section. Or, if I get completely stuck, I will refer to the appropriate section of the guide to find out if I'm doing something wrong or if I just need to keep trying. The table of contents and page-headers are very helpful in this respect.In contrast, game producer guides are usually short on the info I like to have up front such as where and when to find what kind of fish, what drops to expect from which monsters, etc. Walkthroughs in this category are virtually non-existent. Some fansites give you great walkthroughs, but a specific piece of information is likely to be very hard to locate. They do sometimes have separate guides for fish, monsters, characters, etc. that can be very useful though. Of the other after-market guides, I have never found any that are as well thought-out and put together as Prima. I realize that sometimes your options on any given game are limited. If you can get a Prima guide for the game you want, I highly recommend it.

Not much I can say about this, but I can think of a few things.I snagged this because of the hard cover, not only did I find this to be more durable, but it just looks nice.sitting next to my other strat guides...they all look cheap now, lolI really cant say much about the content, as it is on par with Prima standards(good color ink, nice paper)All in all, this is a nice upgrade if you have a collection of strat guides already.I will be buying hard bound guides from now on, it is really that much nicer

This was the only place I could find the strategy guide because it is for a old game. When I got it, it was in great condition, like new and it was a used one. It was delivered before the delivery date I was given. The guide was clean and could not tell it have been used. This is why I order from Amazon. Love the tracking ability so I always know where my order is in transit.

Beautifully bound with gilded pages, this is certainly a collector's item but, if one is careful, can still be used for it's intended purpose (guiding you through the game).

This guide is awesome! It explains the entire game (and beyond) in great detail and it actually makes sense. This guide and the Phantom Hourglass guides are very thin compared to the Twilight Princess guide, which is reasonable considering that these are DS games and TP is a full featured Wii/Gamecube game, but it is just as effective. I highly recommend this to collectors but for those who just want some help on the game, I recommend using the internet or getting the regular guide.

Alright so it's not going to take you by the hand and play the game for you. But I don't use guides for that purpose. I admit I am more a collector than a user of these type of books, but at the same time I think it does justice when your in a pinch in the game.The artwork is gorgeous in these books as well.

Ein absolutes Monsterbuch, übersichtlich aufgebaut mit sämtlichen Dungeoncards und vielen versteckten Gimmicks. Selbst, wer die Vorgängerspiel mit ihren Game Guides schon kennt, wird sich hier ein überraschtes WOW nicht verkneifen können: Eine echte Bibel unter den Spieletipbüchern (man glaubt nicht, daß das für den kleinen NDS gilt), und das zu einem mehr als fairen Preis. Am Schluß mit Übersichtskarte der gesamten Spirit Tracks Welt. Auch ohne Englischkenntnisse absolut empfehlenswert, schon wegen der Karten. Ansonsten im gewohnten Zeldastyle geordnet aufgesetzt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail versehen. Etwas schwächer als der Phantom Hourglass-Guide, aber immer noch top!

This is a beautifully presented, well arranged, guide to a superb game. The cover is gold blocked as are the edges of the pages and it's is accompanied by a parchment map, unavailable in other editions. The illustrations are plentiful, clear and helpful, the walkthrough just detailed enough to leave some measure of skill and thought needed from the player.Unlike some 'guides' this one is NOT just a list of objects and bosses with their accompanying load of data that no-one ever uses.It's not without one or two inaccuracies/omissions in the walkthrough but nothing that someone who is capable of playing this type of game cannot work out. I would have liked the addition of a detailed Index on a number of occasions as I played through the game but this really is the only thing that I would wish to see added.Thoroughly recommended as a purchase for Zelda fans and gamers of all ages, as a helpful guide or just a collector's item - especially at some of the prices available on Amazon!
