So far I love this little ATO, I have been in the hobby for the last 20 years, I purchased this over 5 weeks ago, but the little pump has quit working, it will not lift the water over the ATO container like it did for the last month, problem is how do you get a 3rd party pump to work with the connectors they use.I will try to contact them as see what happens. I will let everyone know.So I called Amazon about the pump going out, I have not heard back from them and it is still broken. So I am not sure how the warranty works or if it does.Latest update.So I contacted Mag Tool Aquarium, I told them my pump went out after 1 month of use, they asked me to give my order number to them, and then they a asked form my address and they sent me a new pump.So all is well, great C/S.

Got the ATO-LITE for my 15 gallon AIO reef tank. Its placed in the return pump section. Its really good and cuts off pretty quickly once it hits the overflow sensor. Its nice for the price that it comes with a magnet too. I just don't see the need for anything more than this. Gets the job done.

I’ve been using this lil guy on my Fluval Evo 13.5 with the pump sunk down into a 5 gallon jug for a few weeks now and it’s kept my water line dead level. No issues whatsoever with it and it’s low power and silent as well! Great for my office tank.

Working with the seller has been a great experience. I originally purchased the ATO for my 30 gallon mini reef in April, 2023. I check it every day, but there are times when we are out of town and the tank requires a quick top up.Recently, I noticed that, although the sensor was flashing, the pump would not engage. Power cycling the unit corrects the problem. After this happened a few times, I contacted the seller. They are sending a replacement unit, since it falls within the 12 month warranty window. Conversations with them have been responded to quickly and courteously. I definitely recommend this unit if you're looking for an easy setup, no maintenance ATO.

Works as design. Have to reset if power goes off.

The ATO works as intended when set up per instructions. However, I think there is one big flaw with this design. If this ATO is turned off and on, it is reset and you have to recalibrate the water level by pressing and holding the button. It’s a hassle if you have a bigger system set up with a sump because you have to mount the button somewhat accessible and requires you to press it when cycling the power. In addition, if you have a bigger tank with sump, you have to get the water level just right, otherwise when it’s turned on, it errors out because it took too long to fill. It may be good for smaller tanks but for larger systems the software program is inconvenient.That means if you have this on an apex or hydros with Smart Control where it shuts off during feeding or water change with your pumps, then you have to re-do the calibration every single time. If you leave it on with return pump cycle, the water level typically drops enabling the ATO and then it errors out because it takes too long too fill while the sump return chamber water levels balances out.I had to go back to a dummy ATO that does not need to be recalibrated every time it’s powered off and on.

Very easy to install and extremely quiet when refilling would highly recommend and has a one year warranty from manufacturer

I had bought my ATO last year in November. Unfortunately it broke down and I was really bummed out as I was very satisfied with it (It’s quiet and accurate). So I reached out to their customer service and I explained the situation. They were super helpful and send me a new one. Knowing that I can rely on them backing up customers in case of issues will make me put in a future order for some of their other equipment.
