MANN-FILTER FP 25 001 Cabin Air Filter - FreciousPlus Biofunctional Pollen Filter

This has been in service for four months. After installation, the dirty sock smell immediately disappeared. The dealer tried to sell me a whole car disinfection since he wouldn't just replace the filter under the new car maintenance program. The car still is smelling fine. I am hoping for twelve months before the car starts to smell again.

The filter is pretty good had a unpleasant smell in the car when purchased from a private seller, so got round to replacing the cabin filter, the original BMW filter was installed from factory and no one had changed it in 6 years, the smell went away fully once I changed it and the AC seemed to perform better too (more air flow), bit of a pain to change in the newer car but definitely worth it. On a F30/3 series you'll need a T20 or 25 and 10mm socket to remove the covers and hatch (under the glovebox/passenger footwell area for RHD) so not difficult to change, about 15-20 minutes, the E46 one could be done in 2 minutes and was just under the bonnet no tools needed.

Perfect OEM spec. Everything is as described, wonderfully packaged. Car smells better and find it even cools faster now.
