Connector not Wired Properly and not 1/8 NPT
Two major issues with this TC.1. The NPT fitting was not NPT. It was some straight thread that was very close thread pitch but would bottom out long before ever sealing in FNPT fitting. I needed it right away, so I ended up buying a NPT to compression adapter and modified it so the probe would pass through the 3/16 nut on the adapter.2. Upon using it, the temperature would suddenly change by 100 deg or more. I took apart the connector and found that they had stripped the insulation and crossed the wires inside the connector. I uncrossed the wires so they couldn't short out and now it's reads accurately. I've compared it to other TC's and also did the ice water calibration and it's very accurate, so I'm happy about that. The probe and cable are nice, it's just they missed it on quality control and garbage fitting.

The threaded fitting isaking this fabrication easy admit is threading into.conduit to protect the wires a bit as I will be taking temps in the molten metal .....happy prospecting all
