Comfort and durability
My Thorogood’s and Red Wings have held up better than any other brand. I just bought these but they seem to be exactly what I was looking for. My Thorogood American Heritage 8” lace ups have been the best pair of boots i’ve owned. I keep my boots through a couple of sole replacements before I buy a new pair. Had them since June of ‘13 and they are still stout. Wore them every day ‘til about 3 years ago when I started switching them out every other day. On my 3rd set of soles. Hard soles are not practical or comfortable being on concrete all day. Using various chemicals to clean and resurface VCT and other flooring in the facility I work in, these boots have held up well. I bought a pair of Duluth Grindtone pull ons about 3 years ago and switched every other day with my lace ups. The Duluth Grindstone lasted about six months before the seams and toe cap began ripping loose and finally blew out. Replaced them with a pair of Worx 6” pull ons that lasted about a year before they blew out. These Thorogood pull ons are much better quality and way more comfortable. I highly recommend spending the extra money for these if you’re on your feet all day.

Worst boots I've ever owned, uncomfortable, poorly made and now they squeak, a complete rip off.
OK 1 month update, i'm a boot guy, lots of redwings, Danner,LLBean and my duty boots are 5.11. These Thorogood 's are the worst boots i've ever owned. I've been wearing them most days for the last month. The left is OK, the right is painful at the end of the day and has developed a really annoying squeak of rubbing sound when i walk, like the sole is rubbing the leather. These are officially the worst boots I've ever bought... and they were a moderate price for good boots, but very, very expensive for poorly made, bad boots. I'm not sure I can even send them back after I've worn them for a month, but they are awful, a complete rip off.

Comfortable but little tight on top
I use this boot delivering building materials and out of the box was good comfort except it is a little tight on the top of my foot where it starts up the leg.. I feel with a few wears it will stretch out. I added a gel metatarsal pad under the insoles as I have bad places on my feet just to help with the cushion of the boot as I have this problem with all shoes. I like them so far

A bit loose in the caboose (ankle).
Only have tried on and did a little bit of work in my garage. Within the first 45 minutes I managed to roll/twist my ankle 3 times - one of which caught me so off guard I actually fell to the ground. These are as comfortable as I was expecting out of the box but they are extremely loose around my ankle and heel. This was the direct cause of me rolling/twisting my ankle. I’m a bit nervous about wearing them to work when I return after my 4 days off because of this looseness. Everywhere else the fit seems great - that being said I am not used to wearing slip-on high-ankled boots. I have worn slip-on low ankle (redwing) boots for about 7 years which were discontinued which is why I’m giving these a shot. We’ll see if my ankles survive.I will update and re-evaluate and edit my review as necessary - 3-4 stars as of now.

So far so good.
Work in the oilfields in S & W TX. When it rains the mud is not deep. Needed a pair of steel toes easy to get on and off as I enter and exit my accommodation trailer. The extra wide width really helps with my Fred Flintstone 5E width feet!!

Front rubs
The front of the boot rubs above my foot I had to stop wearing them. Only on my right foot. The left one fit fine.

Nice boot
I have been looking for this style boot in a composite toe for a while. These fit well. For the most part you can't tell there is a safety toe on them. My toe does rub on the side of the safety a bit but is relatively minor compared to past safety shoes. Footbed is comfortable with decent support. I did not have to add any sort of insoles. Haven't had them long enough to tell how they will wear but comfortable so far.
