The metal cap is good, but
The metal cap is good, but, they used the cheapest gasket possible that did not even last one night on both caps I bought. The extended run tanks failed for two nights before I removed the caps to find the gaskets in pieces with some of the pieces inside the screens of the generator tanks.I gave it 2 stars only because the metal cap is nice.

What a joke!
Of course my item was delivered and the (custom Allen wrench) was not included in the box! So I figured I would try a regular Allen wrench......fits it perfect! so any tweaker that has an Allen wrench can take the security bracket off and bye bye generator So my tip to you is buy some JB Weld after you install and cover both ends of the screw

Honda should supply a plastic version of this with every generator.
Honda should supply a plastic version of this with every generator, but they don't.Very nicely executed - pricey, but you can see why.Makes a difficult to access oil port much easier to reach, also enables over-filling so watch for that.

one of the best purchases I have made all year
What a life saver this is when camping. We used it this past weekend on a tailgating adventure and it worked like a charm in keeping the generator running. Normally I would have to refill at some point and to be safe that means shutting it off which means all tvs and Satellite dishes have to reboot. No more......now just sit back and relax. With marine quick connect couplers its just a snap to move from one reserve tank to the next away from the generator without interrupting the power supplied.

Aluminum is awesome, rubber gasket fell apart on day 1.
The craftsmanship on the aluminum is fantastic. The rubber seal washer fell apart on the first day of use. Something to remember, keep your old cap, unless you have a vented connection, this will not vent with just a quick connect.

not good in a fuel line
Worked well until I removed the cap after the first tank of gas. The gasket had deteriorated and split in a ring around where the seal contact was made. The portion exposed to the gas began to crumble, not good in a fuel line. Production cost on something like this is probably a buck. You'd think they could spring for a fuel resistant gasket and have a happy customer. Will work fine after I spend the time to find a decent rubber washer that will fit. The funnel worked well. I assume those who gave a favorable review have not removed the cap and inspected the rubber seal. Hope you have your fuel filter in place. As a followup, I purchased a fuel compatible gasket at Napa which does the job. It is maybe 1/32 too big, but seats well. It's part 730-9506 and cost $5.19.

Honda should've thought of this funnel!
This funnel makes servicing a 2000 by yourself a breeze! Drained into a empty quart oil bottle without spilling a drop. I removed the funnel a couple times during refilling to verify the oil level because it was difficult to see the transparent oil with a flashlight down the funnel. This wasn't a big deal because the funnel is easy to remove. It has a large rubber washer, so it doesn't need to be over tightened to be leak proof. It's just as convenient as the generator!

One of the integral bolts was easy to insert and tighten
The bracket works as intended as long as it fits. Mine was either bent or poorly designed. One of the integral bolts was easy to insert and tighten. The other? Not so much. I had to force the bracket down on to the generator handle with a large pair of pliers while inserting the bolt. After some struggle, it finally worked. And, yes, I tried reversing the handle and that didn't hepI'm not sure if this is a design flaw, a manufacturing flaw, or my generator (the Honda 2200i) casing was not molded to spec. It could also be that the 22000i handle has slightly different dimensions that the older 2000 design. In any event, the installation was aggravating and not helped by the fact that there were no instructions--not even a simple heads up showing which side of the bracket faces forward. And although it eventually worked, I'm not happy about violating one of the cardinal rules of assembly: Don't force anything.
