We bought ours for the RV, where rolls of paper like paper towels and toilet paper tend to jiggle as we drive along, unroll themselves, and thus end up in a pile on the floor. This one takes a little stronger pull to get the paper out, but does not keep anyone from pulling out as much as they want The stronger pull needed is enough that it will not unroll on its own.

It doesn't come with adhesive tape but it is very easy to get an adhesive tape double sided.
