2017 Model TV Antenna - 50 Miles Digital Antenna Indoor - Smaller and High Reception - Upgraded Version Better Reception

Went from 20 channels to 44, super-clear where they used to be sketchy whenever a cloud passed by. The only gripe I have is that the USB power cable is too short so I had to put an extension on it to reach the TV, but that's no big deal.

I bought this for one of the tvs at my mother-in-laws house. She went from about 10 stations to 28 stations. A standard antenna has a range of about 25 miles. The amplifier on this boosts the range to about 50 miles. This allows you to not only pick up local stations stronger but also to get stations from other areas that are being relayed or repeated through other towers within 50 miles. Another benefit of an antenna vs. cable is many local stations provide sub stations that are normally not picked up by cable providers. So one local channel could be broadcasting 3-4 stations simultaneously with different programming. This unit is easy to set up. The trick is finding the right area/position for your room/house/area, as no two situations are going to be the same for reception. This unit is compact which is nice for being discreet.

I've been using the antenna for a few days now, and no station disruption, even during cloudy/rainy days. Initially I was concerned, because it didn't initially have the initial "punch" in reception that I was expecting, but after spending a couple minutes in finding the best position for the antenna, it hasn't faltered. (Interesting, I found the best position for the antenna by laying flat on top of the TV cabinet vs. placing it high/vertical in the window.) So far, very very pleased!

I live in San Francisco and the nearest NBC station is in San Jose. Although NBC says it has transmission towers to cover the SF bay area completely, I haven't been able to receive the NBC station yet! Otherwise, I get about 45 channels in the area and the pictures are clear.

Exceptionally poor performance. Bought this to replace a much older, bulkier powered antenna and it did not perform. Older antenna (rated at 25 miles) was able to pull-in 11 off air digital channels; this antenna pull-in ZERO. Repeated with another setup at a different location, similar results; poor performance. Unfortunately missed the return window for this product.

I live where I receive inconsistent, intermittent reception. Based on the reviews about this antenna, I was very much hoping this product would solve, or at least improve the reception issue. However, it did not it. In fact, this antenna performs worse than the table top antenna I was already using from Best Buy. I tried placing it on the window by the tv, on the wall, everywhere I could within the limits of the antenna cable. I am very disappointed. It is being returned.

For the past several years, I have used two Terk HDTVa indoor antennas for an upstairs and a downstairs TV that provide excellent reception for the 30+ UHF stations but only adequate reception for the 5 VHF stations in the Sacramento region. On windy or rainy days the Terk VHF reception is often interrupted or frozen, so I decided I would try this new antenna based on the excellent reviews. This new antenna also provided excellent UHF reception, but provided absolutely no reception for the 5 VHF stations in my area, so it is worse than my Terk antennas. I have returned the antenna.
