Kids love this book.

This is a fun encyclopaedia for young minds.Nicely presented, it provides lots of interesting and useful information.The quizzing element is a good idea and it really engages my son.It is the type of book you can pick up and put down.Very nice.

Got for my 11yr old who absolutely loves books and facts. I remember having a similar book as a child before the works of Google and adored it. When I have it to her she ran off with this and sat for hours. She excitedly showed me her favourite facts and has since referred back for homework topics. The quiz aspect is a fantastic way to engage young minds.It’s beautifully put together with amazing pictures and short sharp facts loaded with lots of information making it an interesting read. I believe there is more in this series and will be buying then to add to our collection.

I really like DK books, they are so interesting and well put together. Earth Knowledge Genius is another great book. I would say that this is more aimed towards children, as it is a great way to extend their general knowledge, or for anyone who enjoys quizzes. Or for anyone who has an interest in general knowledge. The book is attractive to look at and has wonderful photographs and so much information. The book is split into the following chapters: Planet Earth, North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Asia and Oceania. I really like the little test areas, and think that children would enjoy doing these. I am planning on reading this myself and brushing up on my earth knowledge.

Beautifully presented and accessibly written, this kids geography book is a really well put-together encyclopaedia. With subjects presented over double-page spreads and the content broken up into easily digestible chunks it's almost learning by stealth. The subjects are generally physical and social geography, and go to a pleasingly complex level, completely respecting the child reader.My 9 year old daughter absolutely loved this, and the presentation style really worked in getting and maintaining her attention.
