Great deal on a banjo
Didn't get mine at Amazon, but price is about the same. It came, got it set up, replaced head with a King head, replaced bridge and strings. Excellent action, and excellent projection. Adding new bridge really gave it some "crack". This is kinda heavy, which I like, not some flimsy little banjo. Weighs about as much as my Gibson Les Paul, about 13 pounds. Can't beat a Morgan Monroe for quality and price. Great looks, great tone.

I would like to give less than one star but that's as ...
I received the banjo in pieces. I feel it is not my place to repair the banjo. I am sending it back with hopes that the second banjo is a the very least, in one piece! I would like to give less than one star but that's as low as they go. To be honest with everyone I have to admit that this is the first item that was not usable.

It's a great banjo with a good sound and it stays in tune pretty well, especially now after a couple years. Its beautiful and I get compliments on it every time I play it. Tuners are a tad touchy.

Awesome Mid Range Banjo
Well worth the money! Sure there are nicer banjos if you want to pay 2 grand for them, but hard to beat this one for the bottom dollar pricing. I bought it to learn on as a guitar player, and it was really easy to get started.
