The complaint about a lot of Ceylon cinnamon is that it's not really Ceylon or that it smells and tastes like ground plywood. Sometimes I've resorted to buying Ceylon sticks and grinding them (because if you start with sticks, you can pretty much tell whether it's Ceylon), but that doesn't guarantee good aroma and flavor. This is my favorite cinnamon that I'm sure really is Ceylon; it is light brown and has the characteristic mild flavor and aroma without being so "mild" that it might as well be random tree shavings. In the attached photo, this (Ground Spirit) Ceylon is on the right, and some Frontier Korintje cinnamon (pungent and tasty, but high in dangerous coumarin, so it must be used in moderation) is on the left. I read a review or two from people complaining of wood shavings, but the batch I received was finely ground, as shown in my photo.

I was shocked to come across the information a while back that Saigon (Cassia) cinnamon can damage the Liver if used frequently. I decided to shift to Ceylon Cinnamon instead which is healthy for your Liver.I’m really happy with this brand, the flavor and the aroma is the best I’ve ever had. The product was well packaged and I’m really happy with my purchase.

Don’t buy! This is the second time I’ve purchased this cinnamon; doesn’t taste the same as the first time. It’s lighter in color and hardly has any fragrance or sweetness that’s expected of authentic Ceylon cinnamon. I’m guessing that some cheap filler has been added, tossing it in the garbage.

I’ve been telling everyone about this Ceylon cinnamon, even my honey lady at the local farmers market. We just used it in our apple pie last night, the recipe called for 3/4 tsp of regular cinnamon but we added 2 tsps and it was perfect! Not an over powering flavor at all. Just rich, sweet, and everything you’ve ever wanted cinnamon to be. I’ve never liked cinnamon in the past, before trying Ceylon. Now I add it to my morning routine everyday. I get so many health benefits without the overwhelming flavor.

I have no gallbladder and liver damage. Was told cinnamon not real would damage my liver! Tried this and I'm blown away! Now this is REAL cinnamon! The taste is phenomenal and I use this everyday in my tea and oatmeal as well as baking! If you are undecided...just BUY it...you won't regret it!!

I love that it is organic. It is however, ground much coarser than I am used to. My photo on the left shows what is left after sifting the cinnamon. The right is what went through the sifter. In some instances that makes no difference but in others, it might. The larger chunks look like pieces of the stem or bark and are edible but create a problem if used in a fine shaker.

This company has everything you want when purchasing herbs. Transparency, certifications that mean something, direct connection to the herb source and manufacturing process, knowledge of the herb itself. This is the best cinnamon I’ve had and will not be looking for another supplier in the future.

I purchased this to add to my morning smoothie. I was looking for higher-grade cinnamon to help with blood sugar levels.When I opened the bag, the fresh aroma of cinnamon made me want to pause and enjoy it. When I added it to my smoothie, it was a really nice enhancer of the flavor.I'm looking forward to finding out how it will affect my baking!I've added this to my regular subscriptions!
