UPDATE 6-15-18 - Sally Snacks CONTINUE to Be my Dog's #1 Favorite Treat. I came on today to purchase another order of Sally Snacks, and noticed that a couple of folks had left negative reviews based on the cost and size of the bag. I felt the need to add a few thoughts - FIRST, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Think about how you buy food for your family, Organic costs more, but many of us decide that the cost is worth it for Healthy food - that's exactly what you are doing when you invest in purchasing Sally Snacks. You can buy cheaper treats, with fillers and preservatives - but is that really what you want to feed your dog? SECOND, 4 oz when broken into pieces is actually a good amount of product. We make our bag last by breaking strips into smaller bite size treats, and my dog LOVES them... it's Quality over Quantity - my dog would much rather have a bite sized Sally Snack as a reward over just about any other treat! Just wanted to add these thoughts for any who might be swayed by those reviews - Don't let them sway you - Sally Snacks are Healthy, Delicious (according to Bear) and are absolutely worth every penny!Original Review:First, have to say that Sally Snacks were already my dogs favorite treat - so I was skeptical about "making them better" - but lo and behold - they did! They are now a little thicker and easier to break up into smaller pieces - and they added a little more black pepper to help with Tumeric absorption - I'm sure that makes them even healthier - but the bottom line is my dog loves them - just as much as before and I know that they are even better for him.The new packaging is pretty and the treats inside are even yummier than before - so we'll keep coming back! Sally Snacks Fan for life! Seriously, if you haven't tried them, do it - your dog will be ever so grateful!BEAR APPROVED!

I thought I spoiled my dogs. I thought they loved their treats. I've given them cookies so organic and delicious I am tempted to eat them myself. They get duck sticks that look and smell better than Slim Jims. But I made the mistake of trying Sally Snacks... and now my dogs are addicts. This is the new crack at my house. The dogs go NUTS for these things. Barkley made sure there wasn't a single crumb left. After eating one, Harriet snubbed her former favorite (the delicious cookies). Nothing but Sally Snacks Venison Jerky will do now. I give them one, and they look at me with pleading eyes, begging for more. On the upside, I'm pretty sure I can train them to do almost anything now. I'll just use Sally Snacks as incentive. If I play my cards right, Barkley will be vacuuming and Harriet will be doing the laundry soon.Although these are expensive, you're paying for top quality ingredients. Both my dogs have delicate constitutions, and the consequences of giving them things they can't tolerate (like most commercial treats) are, well, unpleasant for all of us (and costly, with trips to the vet). They had no trouble with Sally Snacks, which isn't surprising, given the limited ingredients (none of the bad stuff), and the fact that they are top grade and organic.Seeing how much the dogs love these, I guess I'll be getting a second job to keep them in Sally Snacks. But hey, at least they're Prime, and ship free!

My dogs LOVE the flavor of these. I was concerned the turmeric and pepper would turn them off but it didnt. I only wish they were still the thickness of sallys original product by same name. The new thicker version is now too hard for my little dog to chew. I have to break it into small pieces — which is a feat unto itself due to the extreme hardness of the strip. Sorry Sally but I wish you had stuck with the original formulation.

Absolutely love these organic treats and the story behind the company's emergence in the pet treat industry. My dogs seemed to really enjoy these jerky treats (who doesn't love venison?!) and I love that they are made out of only three ingredients - New Zealand venison, turmeric, and black pepper. My dogs are my life and I feel it's my responsibility to know exactly what goes into their bodies. Sally Snacks let you do just that! The only thing I wish was different about that treats is a way to make them softer. I often break up treats into training snack size and it was hard to do that with these. I'm sure the dogs didn't mind though - more for them to crunch on after a job well done! Sally Snacks is my dogs’ most favorite treat. They would do anything for sally snacks. They even know it by name. Whenever I ask them if they want some “sally snacks”, they would come running towards our pantry where the treats are and wait for me to hand them out. They don’t do this for any other treats (bully sticks, antler, fruits, etc.). The treats are on the high side in term of price, but you totally get what you pay for. It is worth it to me to pay a bit more knowing that I’m feeding my dogs healthy snacks with limited ingredients, and no chemicals, addictives, or preservatives. If you think about it, paying more for healthy food means they will stay healthier longer and therefore, less money spent on vet bills. To make the treats last longer, I break the strips into small pieces and use them as high value rewards for good behaviors throughout the day. One bag can last us 10-14 days this way. I even use these during grooming and my dogs run towards me when I pull out the brushes. To me and my dogs, sally snacks are delicious and worth every penny. We are sally snacks fan for life. #doggiecracksfanclub

1 Star for making a jerky dog treat with the same consistency and sharpness of a boxcutter. As a lifelong dog owner, I am appalled that someone would make dog treats like this. I will put the blame on myself for not checking the image to see whether the item was ‘thin and crispy’, but then again, I really shouldn’t have to. I’m soaking pieces of them to see if they’re salvageable, but I will recommend everyone in my field to stay away from this brand. A dog treat that draws blood if you reach into the bag too fast is not okay.
