I used these last evening and when I first started to sing my vocal cords would not work correctly. They seemed to be frozen !! Not good when singing a solo. After a few lines they loosened and my voice was amazingly clear but I almost went into a panic at the beginning.I wish I knew what the problem was. I am not sure if I will use them again.

I'm a pastor, and therefore I must regularly speak and preach, even when my voice doesn't feel like cooperating. I purchased a box of these as a trial on the recommendation of another pastor, and he was right, they're amazing.I should state that taste and texture are certainly odd. It is like sucking on wax that tastes like  Vicks VapoRub Topical Cough Suppressant Ointment 6-Ounce Jars (Pack of 2)  smells. And while that sounds less than pleasant, in application it really isn't bad at all, more mild in flavor than most cough drops.What it does is nearly magical. It allows your mouth and voice box to remain moist and lubricated. Rather than having to continually sip on water when I'm preaching, these keep me from drying out. It keeps my voice more consistent, and keeps me from straining and aggravating anything on those days where I may be speaking 3-4 hours straight.The only thing I regret is that I only ordered one box. Since these aren't readily available in the USA, Amazon.com is the place to get them.One other thing - the box and other various literature on the internet don't give any indication of how many are in the box. Without having counted them, I would estimate there are 80-90 individual pieces in the 40g box. They have a shelf life of many years, so not a lot to worry about if you buy a few boxes at once.

Not sure if they work or not because I can't stand the taste!

I'm a singer, and these are just great to have around when you've got lots of singing to do! I like them because they provide lots of the menthol effect of cough drops without the medicine taste. They also last twice or three times as long as cough drops! They can get stuck in your teeth if you try to chew them up, they're only for sucking on.

This product really does help for those who sing, speak, or perform. The product opens up the vocal chords naturally. Helps me hit my high notes at the top of my range without fear of my voice cracking. Great product. I wish I could find it available for sale in th USA, but it ships from the U.K. quickly.
