It seems it wont lock the dryer door. Its a maytag. Is this product not compatible?** A: I'm not clear did you say you installed the lock on the dryer or on the door to where the dryer lives? In theory if you have a hole with the right depth this unit should work (just make sure it's right side up on both sides and everything slides into each other). **Q: Is this a low profile deadbolt?** A: Its lower profile than some but the base area is a lot wider.
