The stock Exedy clutch is pretty good, and unless you've got big power and you want to break your transmission (or spend a lot upgrading, but then why didn't you get a 6 speed swap), you don't need more than the stock clutch. That being said, my buddy had this in his 02 so I had to have it in my WRX swapped OBS. The lightweight flywheel isn't a big power adder, but those of you who know how to heel-toe downshift will be patting yourselves on the back for such good taste in flywheels as matching the revs is seamless and easy. The OEM fitment is great as well.

We got the product when we expected to, the only problem we ran into, which was our own problem, is that it required a signature and we weren't available to sign for it. I ended up having to go pick it up from the post office, which was fine because I'd rather have to make the trip to town to ensure we got the package than someone else sign for it and it's gone to the wrong house. Thank you so much for the added security. I truly appreciate it! My husband has been needing to get the clutch on his Subaru taken care of for some time and this kit was the perfect match.

The quality of components is great, the instructions are terrible. Tip: install throwout bearing onto clutch fork on transmission spline, use alignment tool, you’ll need to press transmission and engine together quite firmly to seat the throughout bearing sleeve into the pressure plate; it will feel like you’re not aligned so verify the spline turns as you tune the engine at crank w/ wrench. Then once you have it seated and bolted up, you have to forcefully shove the shifting fork to rear of vehicle to fully seat the bearing (not in instructions) or your clutch pedal just collapses as you won’t engage the bearing.
