Great support and I can use cold or heat packs while I work.
I've had my Old Bones Back Brace for almost a week now. I was able to feel results on the first day. I have chronic low back pain and have days where the pain makes it difficult to get my work done. The ice/heat packs are great, and will both work either cold or hot. I use the cold pack with the brace for my pain. It allows for several different adjustments for the amount of pressure needed, and seems very sturdy. It has stays/rigid support in it, to keep the brace from rolling up while it's being worn. I'm no pro on back braces, but very glad I chose this one. It does everything I need to get some relief. Update: almost 7 months, and this brace is truly a “back saver”. I use both packs for ice/ cold packs. I do roll one in a bathroom hand towel before inserting in the pouch on the brace and putting it on. Makes me sweat a bit around the mid section, but that’s not a bad thing. I wear it while bending or lifting most of the time. The times I forget to put it on, are the most painful after times! It helps you remember not to over do, also. It’s held up very well to my busy lifestyle with no real complaints. I still take several meds for my chronic back pain, but this Old Bones brace helps out a lot. Highly recommend. PS. Sizing is weird. I got the XL and it fits my 38” waist and larger stomach area just fine. ** Update 9/26/19. I just purchased my second Old Bones Back Brace. Still using my original gel packs, so I didn’t get more of those. I wore my first one on a very regular basis, and it was still working ok. The Velcro was getting worn and letting go on occasion so I decided to get a new one. My waist (stomach) is a little larger, so I went with a 2X this time. Actually fits much better than the XL did. Great product!

Great customer service and merchandise
UPDATE: I contacted the seller directly through their website, and the seller replaced the product. I have had no issues with the replacement brace, and it has held up very well. The seller contacted me within hours (on a Saturday, no less), and I had a new brace within days. I have had no problems with the new brace, and it has held up well for months of use. Great customer service and merchandise. I’m leaving the old review below for archiving purposes. ORIGINAL REVIEW I am really disappointed with this product. It seemed well-constructed. It was comfortable. It provided lots of support. It was taller than most braces, which I liked because I am tall, with my height in my torso. I really liked the dual straps that made getting the brace tight very easy. However, after just a month of use, which was not strenuous or daily (mostly for extended periods riding/driving in the car), the boning popped out of its casing. It appears that the casing needs reinforcement and/or the boning needs padding in order to not wear through the casing. Once the boning escapes, it will poke the wearer. If removed, the garment no longer had the structure and support that makes it useful. This was a very short time for this type of wear: I had received the product literally a month to the day before the product broke, and I did not utilize the product consistently during that time. With less than a month of use, it came apart.

(Good Bang for your Buck & Back)
I grabbed one of these, because I recently found out from an MRI Scan, that I have 2 bulging lumbar discs, (L4 & L5) with some annular tearing & compression on my nerves. I needed some type of apparatise to support my back from feeling like I was about to snap in half & with the quickness too I might add! So no help to my useless physician's assistance, I searched around online & decided for the price point & the fact that I could insert a heat/ice gel pack in the back pouch to lay down with, this made the best sense quite honestly. It's easy to put on real quick & the Bones Logo is pretty dam stylish I must say. 👍I rank it a 4 out of 5. I took off a mere point because, the Velcro straps will fail over time naturally & the heat gel pack only stays hot for 5 to10 minutes & then it's back to the Microwave. The Ice gel pack will stay cold for a good 30 minutes, so that's a plus! Overall, for $60 bones, it helps ease the pain & will keep you stable enough to function if you have a similar injury like mine. I also recommend grabbing one of those Butt cushioned Ortho seats with the tailbone cut-outs too if it hurts to sit down. Good Luck! ✌

Quite possibly the best ice pack I've ever used
I have chronic low back pain, and I use ice packs regularly. I was on the search for a new ice pack, as the one I had been using was falling apart. I gave this one a shot, and I'm so glad I did. I love how this is double functional, both ice pack and back brace. My particular condition isn't one that benefits or improves with use of a back brace, but it is nice to have that little extra support during the time that I'm icing. But, the brace feature is super helpful in terms of keeping the ice pack in place. The ice pack shifting around has been the biggest problem and annoyance with others that I've tried, so I was thrilled that that is not an issue with this one. I also love that it came with two ice packs. They seem durable and well made, and will hopefully last a long time. As other users have mentioned, it does run a bit small. I ordered a Medium and it was much smaller than I expected, but it fits well enough that I'll keep it and not exchange it for the next size up. However, if I were to gain weight and get a little bit bigger I would definitely need to get a larger size. If you're kind of on the border between sizes or close to it, I'd recommend going a size up. You can always cinch the Velcro a bit tighter if you need it more snug. Overall, this is a great product that I absolutely recommend.

I have purchased this item before and purchased this one for my nephews. He is by no means old but even young people who do physical work can benefit from this therapy. It’s simple to use and the products are well made!
